| Banned and looking for a second chance I guess? | ||

No skill and omni, on the mention of my logical argument: I read the thread on how to request an unban, and quite honestly, I would have loved to have just posted saying, 'I don't care who was right or wrong, but I'm really sorry and would do pretty much anything reasonable you could possibly ask for a second chance.' But I know AP runs a tight ship, so I followed the forum rules and explained everything. Also, I did think AP's post back to me was well thought out, but I omitted any specific words that went back and forth, because, for me, it was an experiment to see if he would claim that I threw the first stone or not. Once again, I would have liked not to do a type up of the incident in the first place, and just post an apology, but I read the sticky on how to request an unban. Also, about all the things with AP being the owner (sorry for mentioning you in third person): I've been banned from one other server by an admin, probably about six months ago. It was the Clan DYN gun game server, I'm sure lots of you are familar with it, and its LOADS of fun. But anyways, one time I was the leader about the beat the round, and an admin kicked me for shooting him when he had his knife out. When I rejoined, I told him politely that if that is accepted use of admin and kick on their server, then please just ban me now, because I don't want to even leave the chance that I would accidentally join the server ever again. My point here is that I understand AP pays the bills, so he has final say on issues like this, but, if Fish Tank was just another server, without an AWESOME community of players, then I wouldn't even have requested an unban, because I wouldn't want to play somewhere where an issue brought to my attention is started with, him being mad at me, me saying sorry, and him continuing the anger over mic (At which point, I got pretty nasty, and I apologize for that, because anger only breeds more anger, and two wrongs don't make a right). (As a side note, I am unbanned from DYN, and every admin I have mentioned the incident to, which is only two or three, has reassured me that if I had proof of the previous incident, they would remove admin rights from the one who did that to me). But like I said, I love fish tank enough to not give a shit about any of that. The only other issue in my mind is. If I even were to get an unban, I wouldn't want to play on the server if seeing me on there would bring up any memories to AP that would make him angry. That is simply not the way of the sage(My name means Old Sage.) But if I'm not getting unbanned because of the way I went about my original post, then I would like to make the friendly suggestion to add another clause to the sticky, saying any of that information can be omitted if it won't be particulary relevant. Lao: I appreciate the apology in your previous (second) post on this thread, but I feel sour over my perception that you are refusing to accept responsibility for your actions. Far be it from me to ignore a chance to compliment you: the victim uniform fits you well. You've clearly got your base of folks who just "like" you (those interested in logic and such), and they miss you. The last thing I want to do is give you multiple clues that your mic usage was on a collision course with your admitted understanding of my attitude towards live-round mic usage. But what do I know? I'm only the guy that is "constantly complaining" about mic spam and, at the same time, the one who apparently blindsided you with... contempt for your mic spam. I'm more than happy to explain the gross exaggerations and inconsistencies in your alleged logic when I have a moment this weekend. You're unbanned as of now, and it's not from logical effort on your part, or your disingenuous apology. |

Hey, I like to stay away from logic Alcohol. I would have much preferred just to apologize and ask for an unban, but I thought you would like it more if I followed the system. I don't want you to think I'm a victim here. I responded inappropriately to what I interpreted from you as anger, and that is never a correct course of action. I really appreciate the second chance, but I still have a concern that seeing me on the server will bring up memories of our butting heads that might make you angry, which I really don't want. I know given my out of control response to you over mic, that may seem like an ILLOGICAL response, but my understanding of this sort of thing doesn't come out of logic. |

Last but not least, I really don't mind your game-talk oriented attitude. Omni is the same way, and I've never minded it from him either. I'm one to admit my flaws before anyone points them out, and even when I try to put all my efforts into game play only, I often have little to no self control to not have a conversation with anyone who tries to start one with me.
