Also 15 years for me. Fuck man we are getting old as shit.
Also, loving Back 4 Blood. Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys coop zombie action. I play on steam. gLiTch handle was retired with FT. You can find me as theRemedy on Steam friends.

Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

I was looking at the FTC Server Nomination replies, and I thought something was amiss when Cookie and Ruskiy both had been able to reply to a member-only section of the forums. After double checking that they both have officially resigned from [FT], I thought their posts should be deleted. Then, I got to thinking: If non-members are going to be affected by a vote (more specifically, a vote for a server that they would want to play on), shouldn't their opinion count? I tried my hardest to clarify that last sentence, but I don't think I could have done justice properly, so here's an example: Knightrider's FTC Roll Call thread had almost 50 people supporting it. A rough estimate says that ~25% are non-members of FT, F7, 925, or any of our clans, but we still took their support in determining the action for the revival of FTC. So my direct question is this: If a non-member is going to be affected, good or bad, by a vote, does that mean we should accept their vote as valid? Obviously, member nominations are off-limits to them, but when it comes to the addition of servers, new rules to a server, new maps to a server (I'm thinking of surf specifically here), etc., shouldn't patrons be allowed a voice too? Discuss. |

if it is not a vote, regs and forum trolls have all right to voice their opinions, but when it comes down to voting, I feel as if anything that is gonna be related to the FT community should only be voted on by members of the community and not the regs and trolls, even if it will effect them. |

^^^ Agreed. But another interesting thing to consider is the people who have donated to FTC. They're putting money into our clan to keep it running, and not everyone who donates necessarily has to be a member (whether they be just a regular, or the issue is part of a clan they don't belong to). If there is some way to keep track of that, then I belive that group of people should be taken into consideration as well during a vote.

every server's controlled by somebody, and the changes we make is only for the best, even if regulars don't necessarily agree with it. We live in america, we pay taxes and blah blah but not each and every person takes part in developing laws n rules, even if those rules affect us. for obvious reasons. same shit applies here, jus replace the [FT] community members with those in charge running the U.S. |

I refused to accept Ruskiy's resignation. Plain n simple. Omega was being a dick to him, resulting in him ragequitting... fuck that shit... I do not think non FT members should have input on the FT community however. That's why we have the measures in place to allow people to join FT. If they care enough about what's going on to want to vote on something, well then they should try to become a member. If they don't care enough to try and become a member, then fuck them, their opinion is shit. Cookie? I have no idea. |

I agree that only members should vote because of the fact that they're members also. Toast brought up a good point about some people who aren't members donate(d) to us so we could keep going, but if they really care that much to pay, they should try to be members too. I wouldn't use NoSkill's exact words that they're opinion is shit, but I don't think they should be allowed to participate in votes. Discussions are fine though, we appreciate other viewpoints, makes the discussion more interesting.

Well, seeing as we all take SO kindly to people like Coleman, or Phreak, or Little Suzie, or the other people who try to become members... All I'm saying is, shouldn't the regulars have some say in some issues? I'm not talking about clan based votes, I'm talking about SERVER based votes. The best example I can find is that we'll have maybe 24-30 people vote on FTC's nomination. What happens to the other 20? I will concede it is a moot discussion, though. There isn't any viable way we could identify the discussions they'd be allowed in, much less who could vote... I should have realized this before I started the thread. |

Well you can make a discussion public by putting it in Schooling Fish, and votes in the clan only forums too...

Let's be honest. Schooling Fish is nothing but mildly entertaining spam. Edited Fri Sep 26 2008, 01:05AM

You can delete useless posts if you're an admin, or you could just create a new forum for public discussions...
