Amped said... I think this is the biggest point of contention in this thread. There are those like nightrider and goose that want to have a say in a 'democratic' system. For the most part, these people want everyone else to contribute ideas and opinions like themselves. But because they do voice their opinion some see them as leaders or the "inner" members. Then there are also those who don't mind just following along with the "leaders". Like havok and other newer members, they may not have a feel for why all these changes are happening and instead of posting one liners that just add spam to serious threads they choose to stay out of it and watch what happens. Both 'types' of members care about the clan otherwise they wouldnt have the FT tag. |

What you mentioned Bubble is what I was trying to put into the minds of the people that had posted enough on the forums and then just died off posting. It is required that everyone post an introduction isnt it? That is the gateway into the forums, and is the intention that I was having for people that posted an introduction and posted enough to get into the clan. They participated in every other thread, so why not participate in clan discussions once they are voted in? I just dont understand. As for your thread Sin, I didnt expect everyone to reply on this, like I had said in the first post. There are some members that have been here before me that still have a lack of input even then in this thread. 66 members didnt just poof out of nowhere after the elimination of the system. This implies to all of the members that have been here before that, not any of the new ones. <------------ Read Bubble's post for the record. |

I guess I will respond to goose first. The point I was making is that I gave the input for which you yern for and when you respond you say absuteltly nothing in refrence for that. Not everythign needs to be a question to be replied to. In fact all debates or arguments 99% of it is to despute comments made byyour opponent and not answering qusesstions. A forum discution is simlar. As for night they can do that if they like the results wont change any at all. Maybe the solution is to try to make post a lot more condenced and try to say more by typing less. Of course that would take effort on the posters part and nto the readers. There are a lot of solutions that aren't to raise up a debate. Also since you dont seem to know who you are. You are nightrider and a conserned member of this forums and that give you the right to say whatevre you please. I just ahve equily as much right to disagree with your point of view. |

WE DIDNT NEED A NEW VOTING PROCEDURE!!! the old one was fine, minus the expiration. we didnt need to go out and make a whole other voting procedure. |

Well, this has become quite the issue. I appreciate all that have cared enough to chime in so far. The infighting, bickering, and other problems have certainly caused a rift in the clan as of late. I think many people have raised great points and questions so far. It is not my intention to argue or to make a point-counter-point. I simply would like to offer some of my thoughts. I think we all need to take a step back, breathe deeply and really ask ourselves why we are here. Why do we have this clan? What’s the point? Initially, back in April, I was stoked about the idea of a clan. I thought that it would drum up support for our servers. I also liked the idea of a cohesive social atmosphere. But, above all, it was fun. I think that I can speak for most when I say that, when the clan first started, it was a blast. I couldn’t wait to get home and read forums just to see what was going on. As it turns out, the clan, I would argue, did help our servers by creating a social atmosphere. I am sure most would agree that there was a time when it was fun. For me, however, as of late, it has ceased to be fun. Now, I dread having to keep up with the drama that plays out on forums. Look, I have a job, I teach, am a full-time graduate student, and am married. I have enough to fill my time. So, why should I continue to keep up with the clan when all it does is cause stress? Personally, I thought that our first voting system worked well. I think that it was the ignorance of a few, who refused to read and understand the rules, which lead to the downfall. Now, I am not pointing fingers; I think we are beyond that at this point. However, the demise of the first voting system was the preverbal last straw for me. I grew tired of having to correct people for their mistakes. I was regarded as “nagging†when I did. I think there is a real question we need to be asking ourselves: “Is it still fun and worth it?†Currently, personally, I would say ‘no’. I dread the drama, infighting and mud slinging. Seriously, for me, right now, it has ceased to be fun. Rome split after the internal bickering boiled to a fever pitch. The institutions of one, the Catholic Church, remain today. personally i think the clan is alittle different then when i first started to play on the servers. there is alot more whinning now, but that doesnt bother me because i just come to have fun and enjoy myself. like fetus im older like 24 and have a gf not a wife and a 15month old daughter, so pretty much i play to escape the harsh reality of reality. there is alot of times i read the forums and aggree and disagree with whats goin on but theres alot of times i dont add feed back because a. i suck at typing and b. its just a game. i joined [FT] because the community is great and it still is. i like being a part of helping it grow and i dont think we should change any of the old systems because the old systems is what was being used b4 many of us even joined the clan and if it was good enough then, then it should be still good enough now. if any thing i think we should come up with new ideas instead of altering the ones that were already in place, because all it does is cause confusion and chaos with us THE END  P.S. if its hard to read or understand sry i blow at typing |

I have read and re-read this thred...I will say I am confused and a bit suprised! I just log on and play, hardly read the threads unless something serious is mentioned in game. What I have to say is brief and may be of no use but to at least participate ..2 cents. Managing people suxor! In my years of working and managing people I know you have to be willing to give some and take some....SHIT! Please, divide and conquer. Assign tasks if needed and make things happen. No one person, even just the man who pays for the server can solve all our problems. My suggestion...a cleansing and regeim change. j/k. Create Teams to fix specific problems/issues and have these problems or issues i.e. voting, problem players or organizing scrims etc. worked on by these specific teams. I would love to give some time to you guys in any way that I can. Please let me know if there are any tasks I can help with. An example would be the scrims. Would it be good to rotate T leads CT leads and name our teams with tags? These people would also have to work together on clan issues ie. T BLUE TEAM #1 would play together for a month and also discuss in game issues like a problem person or a new voting procedure. I guess I am at a loss as to what ALL the issues with us are. All I can say is that no matter what happens in game, I really enjoy this community and all its members. Even the ones who bust my nuts all the time. I know it's in good fun and nothing has been done or said to me yet that I have taken personally....even my whopping .50 kdr!! LOL! Please let me know what I can do to help and I do appologize for not paying more attention to the forums. Peace! Caveman |
