Hey, I just noticed that no one has updated the only sticky thread in the "FT Introductions" forum. You know, the one that tells people how they get started joining FT and all?! -[link]- I created that thread and forum upon the advice of other FT's (Darknarf and someone else, I forget who). By no means am I trying to take credit for the whole idea, but I created it and revised it after the old voting system went titsup. Shouldn't it behoove another FT to take care of this thread? Wilcard, someone who is not even in FT, put together some good advice here: -[link]- I'm not saying that is the only advice about how to get into FT, but it would certainly help prospective members to figure out how to join if the only sticky thread in that forum didn't read: NOTE: The means of entering the FT Community Clan is no longer valid after 10/15/2006. The voting system previously used by FT to recruit new members is no more, though something new should be on the way soon. Would an FT please fix this thread? I am not sure exactly what we are trying to fix? I am guessing your talking about a different way of explaining how to go about entering the clan? I guess the first and most important question if that is the case is if they are even looking at the stick or just diving right in? If it the first then I guess that a different way of explaining things could help but if it were the latter case then there isn't much that can be done other then have members watch the intro thread more carefully and it explain it in detail. Please be a little more clear as to the problem that is being handled. (sorry if I am just being stupid I do that from time to time.) |

As simply as I can state it: Having a disclaimer from three months ago that says "The means of entering the FT Community Clan is no longer valid after 10/15/2006" might be a bad thing. It sort of throws people off, ya know? Someone needs to fix it, and it needs to be the cadre of FT folk that redefined our voting (including recruitment, or "nomination") policies. Alright, I updated it. I'm not sure I added all of the things, someone else could maybe check to see. I think I covered both of the requirements though. | ||
