FTd looks to me like FT douche, although I think I would fit good in that since I do clean some people's sperm from vaginas... Anyways, I was going to pay for the server myself, but if you want to go ahead and pitch in, hell, I'm not complaining. But as far as the Dust2 server goes, that's my initial choice, it was from the beginning. Like I said, if it's me and a few members that want to go to Scoutzknives, then I can switch it via admin command. It's fun once in a while, but as Glitch mentioned, it gets old real fast. Right now I'm looking at a 18 slot server that's 100 tic with free set up for 230 bucks (Estimated). When I do get some cash available, which I'm not sure as of now since I have to save up for the many vacations I'm going on in the summer. But as far as setting them up, Alcohol Powered will be my right hand man. He knows how to do it, so I'll let him do it. I haven't decided my admin appointments as of now, but I will let you all know. I don't hand it out freely, I give it to the people I think are mature enough to use it. Btw, Kalibur, what GSP did you say that you used? I don't know about Counter Strike.com's servers as of yet, so I need to know one that is real dependable. |

I don't remember signing up for the job, but thanks for the assignment.  I'm just joking, and I do recall vaguely discussing this with you a while back (or maybe I'm making this up). If you do actually decide to rent a server and you need help then I will gladly chip in. Part of the fun of op'ing on your own is making mistakes and recovering from them, so I offer my help in a "support" capacity. This means that I will NOT upgrade mani ASAP just because you've got a hot date on Friday night!  Also, I believe Wildcard and Jigg were thinking about doing a d2 server. It sort of sucks having two interested groups of people at the same time thinking about running a particular type of server, so I'll let you sort that out. I strongly suggest everyone involved work as a team instead of trying to compete. Trust me, money is one thing but having dedicated op's and high-level admins are (almost) priceless. |

hey if wildcard and jigg wanna chip in for a dust2 server with me and night, then we can all run the server lol. i mean splitting the money 4 ways instead of two rocks, and having one big D2 server instead of 2 servers rocks even more so i say lets join up and figure this shit out. | ||

Just going to suggest a few things.. #1 UKCS:CSS#1-Tic66-Mega Game Server (213.228.232.27:27015) Iv suggested maybe trying to mimic this server before. It holds x/60 and its a UK server and when i check it out its rarely empty. So why not do a US version It has a few exclusive mod things on i beleive nothing big just to help out the gameplay like voting and things and it is alot of fun. I know you have decided on dust2 but this server runs "i think" 24/7 custom and i would call them realistic custom maps not your brightly coloured simpsons maps or "what not".As im no whizz about this im guessing as it is a 60 man server it would cost alot more but it might work out if there is more than one of you funding it. There would be a few problems with it , for example as it would be a massive server and if it does get popular then it would be hard to admin.. But it is worth checking out. ______________________________________________ #2 SAVAGENATION- Bank mod (69.28.221.15:27015) Now this is another server that i enjoy... Some of you might allready play it i know i was introduced to it by another member. Basically when you join you have a bank account and when you get money (killing,defusing,hostages,winning) you can deposit money into a virtual bank account. The money you then have gains interest and you can withdraw money if your running low and need some guns etc.. It is worth checking out..im guessing it is just a simple mod. Rofl Scope, I like that signature. But anyways, hell, I wouldn't mind having 4 server OPs with me, but I would suggest that it's whoever has the money first and buys the server first. It doesn't matter to me, if that's what they want then they can get it, I'm not stopping. The whole reason I wanted to get the server is for more diversity and experiance running a server since I am still new at it. And people that have been doing it for a while now (Like you Alcohol) can help me out on a few things. Don't worry about the dating thing, I broke up with my girlfriend so I don't think I'll be dating for a while. Just don't feel like it at the moment. And I'd rather spend my money on something useful anyways (Like a server that will get me nowhere in life, just fun for you guys). | ||

glitch, we used to have an assault server. which was then converted into a dust2 server for a while and then back to assault before it got shut down. (.)(.)'s from ac was the owner, and i was the co-op. We ended up wearing [FTc/D2] tags. i agree we should get competitive back up and running. Nightrider id be happy to show you a few things. If i see you on sometime soon ill teach you rcon and mani commands using surf. |
