Oh I'm so down. I still play zombie escape sometimes on CS:S. Never gets old. So down for Office.
Also 15 years for me. Fuck man we are getting old as shit.
Also, loving Back 4 Blood. Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys coop zombie action. I play on steam. gLiTch handle was retired with FT. You can find me as theRemedy on Steam friends.

Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Sorry guys, posting is kinda scarey for me, half the time my browser screws up when I hit post. I guess I need to listen to Narf and get foxfire. Otherwise I would have said this while the thread was open. The system sounds great, all spelled out and what not. VOTE RULES NEED A SPOT ON THE WEBPAGE I suggest having a link that says 'Join' or something like that. Tell them they need to be a frequent & skilled player to get nominated, then show them the vote rules. Posting this clearly is important, otherwise the questions concerning voting will allways be a topic for new recruits. I also think we are missing a republican side of our voting system, i.e. democratic representation. "Might I remind you that a pure democracy results in Gays getting married and having kids, women in the military, and a country pulling out of any war involving casualties." I think to have someone join should require a vote from the top level moderators, just one. This gives some actual responsibilty to someone for bringing someone in. It will also kinda solve the "what if we get losers in the clan" problem. If we get losers we look at which moderator brought them in and be like, 'YO fix this shit man.' I mean yes it will take away from the 'Equality,' but what is equality accept something that does not exist; yet we strive to make it seem so. We all know I can't vote off Omni, Kremit, Narf; ESPECIALLY without another of his peers saying yes they have lost their way. We should just recognize the importance of these top level admins and give them the duty of the last word on new recruits. They usually vote anyway, and from what I've seen they are prudent and judicious. (hey I had to use some big word, Alex squeezed in 'usurp' on his thread) |

Yeah, I agree. Instead of flooding the forums with all these recruiting votes and "how do I vote cause I'm to lazy to read the rules" posts, the website should have a seperate part just devoted to voting. If someone does make one, there should be a page that pops up that makes you read and agree to our voting terms (like an end user licence agreement on a CDRom). Anyway, that's my idea. screw democracy, lets have a nazi dictatorship |

Posting this clearly is important, otherwise the questions concerning voting will allways be a topic for new recruits. Yes, I agree voting rules and procedures could be more evident when first looking at the web site. Also, I'll look into maybe doing a seperate forum, or subforum, for proposals. More suggestions on how to implement changes would be much more helpful than simply identifying a problem. AwsedreswA wrote ... I also think we are missing a republican side of our voting system, i.e. democratic representation. I don't. Make a proposal on how to amend the voting system and we'll discuss it. AwsedreswA wrote ... "Might I remind you that a pure democracy results in Gays getting married and having kids, women in the military, and a country pulling out of any war involving casualties." I hope this is a joke. AwsedreswA wrote ... I think to have someone join should require a vote from the top level moderators, just one. This gives some actual responsibilty to someone for bringing someone in. How does one become a "top level moderator?" Also, some may interpret that last comment to mean we are not currently responsible for our recruits. Please give examples on how the current system has not been responsible or choose your words more carefully next time. AwsedreswA wrote ... I mean yes it will take away from the 'Equality,' but what is equality accept something that does not exist; yet we strive to make it seem so. I didn't realize this was a problem. Did you read the part in the voting system about terminating membership? Someone makes a proposal to get rid of the person. Pretty straight-forward stuff. Also, if lots of people are voting yes to bring someone in without having a fairly positive opinion of the recruit, and the recruit quickly turns out to piss off a good portion of the clan, then bring that up in your termination proposal. AwsedreswA wrote ... We all know I can't vote off Omni, Kremit, Narf; ESPECIALLY without another of his peers saying yes they have lost their way. (hey I had to use some big word, Alex squeezed in 'usurp' on his thread) You could try to vote those people off if you really wanted. I don't see this likely happening, but who knows. Given the right circumstances, I would support voting anyone off. Yes, several clan members who are "top level" admins do participate in voting and discussion. This is what i don't understand about your suggestion: why make this more complicated than it has to? You want to maintain a list of "top level moderators" or "top level admins" who have the authority make a final decision on recruits? Sounds like a hassle to maintain that list when the only justification for having it is that we're worrying about something that is unlikely to happen. |

I mean, if a sub-folder or something was added to better organize discussions/votes, then that would be alrighty. I like to be organized and I think that its easier to view/post in a forum that is specifically dedicated to induncting new members. Perhaps above/under the 'Introductions' forum or something,,, that way it could open up the clan forum for more specific topics that deal with stuff other than new recruits. (scrims/practices/concers/ideas/strats/procedure amendments/terminations... etc..) As for the rest of it, I think that equal say among all members is key. Adding top-level dudes to finalize decisions only undermines everyone else's say. Praise Jah. GooSe Out. |
