Alright to be honest guys, all Ive EVER seen in this recruitment shit is members voting players they know and their friends with. I dont know who it was who said this, but i was told no one would vote no because they dont know the player who's being voted in. Well so far thats all bullshit to me. Recently I voted in Superman who is apart of the DAWG clan with me, and is a current admin on FTC2, and just because half of you FT guys play in FTC1 and dont know players FTC2 decide to vote no, and why? because you NEVER play in FTC2. So first off, get the fuck out of one server and play in others and play with different members and know whos who, and whos a regular and who looks like a good ally to join the FT community, because i dont see that. How would you expect to know someone when you dont even play in the server. And i dont talk shit, because everyone whos been voted into FT i know, and you know why? its because i play all servers. Yes i dont play Surf, but i havent seen anyone from Surf that wanted to join FT, except for now, one guy. Other than that, this was a piss of to see. Peace out. |

So true. I'v seen this happen alot. Super man plays more then most admins, and he got re jected becosue people don't play FTC2 that voted...that is just messed up. We need to maybe make changes to how this is done...becouse we can't have avluable players be rejected becouse they don't play a certain server.. | ||

yeah weve already had like 30 and a half threads about this... bleek you speak of change... care to contribute any ideas or plans for how we should do it? it is unfortunate that he got rejected, but he can be voted in again. im sorry for anybody who voted no against him, it is your loss. if i dont know someone who is getting voted in i simple leave myself out of that voting. why would i pretend to know someone i dont? what if i voted for someone who i didnt know and they turned out to be an asshole? i think that the only change that needs to be made, is that if you dont know the person who is up for entrance into the clan, DONT VOTE (for OR against) plenty of other people probably know the person, and if noone does, well then obviously they probably shouldnt be in the clan. the whole foundation for the community clan is to get friends, regulars, and people who we know from the server(s) into the clan. hence VOTING IN FRIENDS! i see nothing wrong with that. but you are right about people who voted against him...thats just bullshit. Recruits should get to know members; show that they can get along and contribute towards the entire community. [FT]'s that know them can use their experiences and common sense as a means of allowing the recruits the opportunity to be part of a collective unit. I don't want to play/chat/spend time with complete Asshats such as Impartial and stuff. That's why I value the opinions of other [FT]'s to let me know whether or not a recruit would make a potential good, solid [FT]. (One person chimed in without actually saying y/n) And only 1 yes vote. What does this tell you???? This tells me that FTC2ers didn't bother, or think highly enough of Superman to say YES. The problem isn't the 2 NO votes, the problem is that the only YES vote was from Mugen, the thread's author. Oh wait, I don't recall Superman even introducing himself. 22 Threads in the Introduction Forum, 0 from Superman. I don't recall ever reading a post by Superman. Hes a long time FTC2er, admin, and a great guy,,, but hes only VISITED the site 6 times. Uber. Let me remind you, Joker (an FTC2er) approved the nomination in the discussion phase. And on Thu Jun 01 2006, 07:42PM, Scoot opened a thread regarding Superman that said, "Im still kinda of new to the forums so I dunno if someone else should start a vote or who grabs whos ass or what. Either way try to get something done he keeps bugging me to post sometihng." Joker + Scoot + Mugen's YES votes = 3 YES to 2 NOs. Wow. Clearly the problem isn't with the NO votes, its with inactive FTC2ers, including the one who was trying to get in. But there's good news. Superman has 2 weeks before he can be re-nominated and within that time I suggest that he Introdice himself, Post something, spend a few hours in FTC/Surf and say HI to the people wearing the [FT] tags. Mugen, you can drum up some support for him by in-game at FTC2, "@ Yo guys, hit up forums and vote in Superman, it will only take you 30 secs, and while your there, post a lil sumtin". We do not need to amend any rules or procedures, it can't be simpler.... the only design flaw is that people have to actually spend a minute and type 3 little letters,,, Y-E-S. Avoiding several FT members with the power to vote recruits in doesn't seem like a good strategy to me. I agree sticking with one server and avoiding all others is not a good idea. It already appears to be dividing the community clan up a bit. I'll try to start playing on FTC2 and hopefully I can get a better understanding of the regulars there. Also, you could tell the FTC2 regulars that if they're interested in mingling with FT members then forums are a great place to do that. You can learn a decent amount about people by socializing on forums instead of the sometimes mindless in-game chat (ns, nt, gg, ttyl, brb, ftw...) even if it's non-CS:S related forum discussion. |

Alright i see what you guys are getting at, but my bad to seem like i was being like an ass, i wrote that on a bad day. But what i said was what i felt. Well i think the main thing is that FTC1 members need to get out and play FTC2 or Surf and get to know members, and FTC2 members need to get out and get into FTC1 or Surf for awhile, and i dont mean like 1 or 2 days, i mean for awhile, and play with other regulars and FT'ers, i think that way we can have even a bigger commnunity going. And guys im not a person to bring an asshat into the FT community, since superman is with DAWG. But i see where your coming from, but i will get members from FTC2 to post up and introduce. Also, another thing not ALL FT members are big committers to the forums remember that, and not ALL FT members posted up an introduction, and have contributed to the forums. |

i agree and ive been doing that latly. at first the only reason i went to FTC2 was because FTC1 was full, but latly ive just been going there more and more. Ive seen a lot of good players over there that seem like cool people. i agree with mugen, we shouldnt just stick to one server, its a community and we should experience all of it... however i agree with alex that they should come to the forums more and post. im not really one to talk considering latly i havent had much time to post on the forums because when i do have free time, im playing
