I can see where you're coming from Alex. The only reason I put it on because: 1. It's old school. 2. It's to show people in the server that I am an admin. 3. It's not intended to brag. If I were 12, I would brag I had admin. As for the end of the name tag thing, I agree with you Alex. I remember a while back something like this had happened before. |

I agree. The tag should be the same for everyone in the clan it should be [FT] as a prefix, no modification or movement. It may seem trivial but it's very important in my opinion. I actually would get into arguments with God on the server when he used {FT} instead... That's not our tag, do not wear it like that. Also [FTA] is also stupid... people will know you're an admin when they need to know you're an admin. Personally I'd rather have the players NOT think I'm an admin so they act as they would if I wasn't there. Which of course would allow me to remove the type of people we don't want to be there. |

Also, when I first came to [FT], I asked if I could subclan. Unfortunately for you guys, I stayed, and it went to the front of my name ever since. the ONLY time ive ever taken it off was if we were having a Name switching gag in the tank, where we were all ninjas, or smiley faces, or if I was in a scrim, or if I was just on another server where I wanted to see what they would say if I didn thave any tags on. I can see why people might have it at the end of their name, and ive even done it once or twice. I just prefer it in front. I dont think it completely shows disloyalty if its at the end of the name, but it does show some. As for the FTA... it only annoyed me a little when Vincent Vega and Wildcard did it, because they seemed to boast about Admin and such occasionally. It was hardly noticeable, it actually could have just been me that got bothered by it. Even Glitch has done it but I guess its somewhat understandable. I mean, You just get admin, you get excited about it. EDIT: Also a major thing I thought about was, in this community we have, we've always voted on stuff and said, One vote per person, everyone is equal. If we were all equal, why try and have a different title? I always thought it was cool to go on FTC and see the whole CT team have [FT] going down the list Edited Sat Jan 05 2008, 09:53PM |

Well, I love [FT] at the beginning of name and forever shall it remain (hopefully). I will even sometimes remove postfix tags when I come on so people know where my true loyalties lie. If you're in FT and on the server, unless you're specifically attempting to remain anonymous for purposes of observing a possible hacker, I think it should be mandatory that you wear the [FT] tag and at least use a name that other members in FT will recognize, not an ad hoc name (Mean Squeak, Doomed 2 Fail, etc.)((who the fuck are these people anyway? i feel like its always a guessing game to figure out who's who)). Otherwise, why are you in FT, a community clan, if you wish to remain anonymous? I hate having to ma_admin whenever I sign on so I know whether or not I have help if I need it. Xfire can get annoying, especially since they're never any admins on anymore. And the FTA thing is whatever. I know Cha does it sometimes cause its old school (i'm pretty sure he was around for it) and it's kind of reassuring to know there's an admin present, as I said above. However, I also think admins shouldn't deny their admin status on server, unless, as stated above, they specifically do not want a player on the server to know for the purposes of observing a possible hacker. I think you are taking it too far, we ARE allowed to have different names. esp when we aren't hiding it and using the FT tag (and 9²5 tag where applicable). Also, there is no guessing game, unless you create one, when all you have to do is ask... I reserve the right to use other names WITH THE TAG. Which is what the thread was initially about, no? |

zomgizzle In further addition, I don't think Awsedreswa should wear [FT] at all. Maybe this is the wrong thread for it but fuck it! Fish Tank members should be proud of their tag. Make a name bind for those of you with competitive clans. I do it. I hit my pause button to get my ft steel 9-5 and i hit f2 for my check names. be creative and figure it out! Fetus had a thread on this for the 9-5 to be mandatory for 9-5 members, shall we do the same for FT? |
