Okay, this problem has gotten overwhelming. I talked to Kever on Steam Friends today. It took me all of 20 seconds to find out what happened. She didn't want a "Fate of Kever" happening again. But you guys gave it to her. When the demos are reviewed and people realize she doesn't hack, what is going to happen? I'll tell you. She won't want to be involved with us because she's already fucking sick of all the shit she gets. This was not an admin fuckup in any way shape or form. Knightrider did what a GOOD admin does. He took the initiative and wasted time in his own life to get demos to prove once and for all the "Kever hacking" situation. Whether she walls or not (I think not, but that is just my opinion, which can be flawed), the fact of the matter is that she DIDN'T want to tear apart the clan. That was the most important point she made in our small little chat today. She has voiced that she wants to be involved in FT, but constantly she is scared away by people being ignorant and hassling her. Have you guys ever had self-esteem problems? Isn't it hard to deal with people talking shit behind your back (and to your face?). Would you want to be in her situation? Knight, I respect what you did to make it known that she does/doesn't hack. Taking demos is what the MOTD says to do to address hacking concerns. The only mistake you made was a subtle slip up in mentioning it to someone who is instantly going to jump to conclusions. It disappoints me to see so many people involving themselves in drama here. Steel may have been a little exuberant in voicing his opinions, but honestly he was right on the whole. There was no reason for people to resign over this (Pracket excluded, seeing as how he was planning it for a week). I think my ability to not get pissed at people during this flamefest helped me to keep my head straight and understand what was happening. In summation, Kever asked for a ban to avoid another flamefest (See, Fate of Kever). It was not hard to discover this. However, instead of thinking clearly in the face of a hard situation, people jumped to conclusions and started blaming the admins/ops. In no way was this a problem caused by them. Knightrider making a small mention to taking demos of Kever caused this whole ordeal. The fact that something so small can set off so many people is disturbing. I refuse to hold grudges on anyone, but people DEMANDING information in countless threads today has done nothing but accelerate this problem. Ever heard of the "Snowball effect"? People's reactions to this situation reflects two things: One, people need to learn to control themselves in the face of problems, and two, people need to educate themselves before they enter into a heated conversation. I absolutely refuse to leave FT over any form of drama. It can always be avoided. Knightrider, I respect what you did. Kever, if you actually are coming here and reading these threads that you didn't want to see, when you're demos are reviewed and you aren't banned any longer, I hope that you come back and stay involved in the community. If you are proven to wall hack or anything along those lines, it was still fun to talk to you and play with you. To all other admins, thank you for babysitting angry teenagers all day. To all of you who started threads, resigned, or showed your inability to solve your own problems (With the exception of Zero, who has shown surprising maturity in accepting his own mistakes), grow the fuck up or GTFO. Thank you for one of the few intelligent posts during this little affair. I think I speak for many of the admins when I say that we appreciate it. As has been said, an official ADMIN POSTED thread will be made soon for all this to be discussed, there are several things I'd like to say but Ill wait till then. | ||

You might have physically typed it that way, but there is a certain mood you have set in your posts that make me think otherwise. I love you Glitch, but I think you need to exercise some patience and let it be sorted out. The admins are not pulling a Stalin on us. If there is a delay in an Admin Post, it is because it is being discussed, and they want to come to a consensus or at least a well-thought post before one of them makes a mistake and continues this unruly verbal slaughter that is currently happening. Admins have never failed me before. Even if I have only been here a short time, I have no reason to doubt their abilities or ideas. Give it time. Occupy yourself with Emer's mini-golf game, it really gave me ample time to think things through while I hammered the shit out of computerized golf balls. And I'll finish with an obnoxiously hackneyed phrase: Patience is a virtue. |

Please don't feel that this is part of an overall immaturity of the Fish Tank Community, because it isn't. Trust me, I feel the same way about all the "OMFG Kever h4x" bullshit too. The thought really hasn't crossed my mind the more I've been playing with her recently. I personally think her skills are legit. But to reiterate, Kever's ban was not due to hacking, it was to avoid all this drama, that unfortunately continues. The immaturity goes back to what I was saying about people spreading rumors. That's what started this all out. I also want to address a few things in your post. One, which I think was aimed at me like a Goose scout headshot, is that you think I was flaming you. Do not take it as that, I could never flame a guy who I respect so much. I don't know if you realize this, but you are one of my best friends on this server. I do not want to flame you, and I'm sorry if my wording may have conveyed that to you. I assure you it was not my intention. Secondly, I want to address something else your post conveyed to me. It seems as if your resignation is imminent. Please refrain. I hate seeing friends poop out on each other over something so minuscule. Bandito, i understand. I know u werent flaming me. I know you are tired as i am of this useless crap. I am also not resigning lol.. I wont lie however, it crossed my mind only once. And only for a brief moment. It was heat of the moment, when i knew nothing of which happened. But i stopped to think clearly and realized i was over reacting. I didnt want to leave something ive been a part of for so long. it wasnt worth it. And Steel was 100% correct. Another thing... Its late, real late, i have class soon in like 5 hours. I have an essay i still gotta write, someone is comming tomorrow to look at my house to buy, so i need to clean my room like spotless, dealing with my g/f and arguing with her, worrying sick about a test i have tomorrow as well, and the Kever topic. Im so fuckin stressed right now, and tired, that i am heated, and there really is nothing i can do about it. I need sleep, peace, and relaxation to cure me. But yea bandito, i understand you, and i know u are not flaming me. I too am sorry for comming off a lil strong towards your response to me. Peace and love brother. |
