This is the formal thread of resignations for Baghdad Bob, Evil Pig, Syntax, and Kever. I have consent from all of these listed members of FT to include them in this resignation. When I joined FT in 2006 that was the start of the golden age of FT. Our main personalities in our clan that I remember were Kremit, Aborted Fetus, Alcohol Powered, Bubble Goose, Jigg, and Wild Card. Those were the people that held this community together and made it fun. Out of all of those people that I listed, only 2 still play on FTC and they are alcosatz and Bubble Goose. Ever since I came back to FT in late January it wasn't the same community that I left in late October. You should be aware that I resigned from FT on March 1st of this year to defend a friend from injustice within our community. Only reason I got back in was I was pulled in 9 days later by the community. I ran the zombie server for 2 months to recreate the fun that we had on Wild Card and Jigg's ZM server last year but it wasn't the same. When alcosatz announced that he was finished being operator for FTC I decided to step up. Omni and I collected the necessary funds for not just the 1st quarter but almost enough for 3 entire quarters. Omni has all of the FTC money not me. We then bought the server and started testing on that monday. I know you are unaware but my deadline for getting the server to 100% readiness was 2 weeks. I only got 3 days before I had to launch. I had to find my own scripts since alcosatz wouldn't let us use his so it was impossible to please everyone that week. I labored for 2 straight days with absolutely 0 sleep on that server getting it operational. I received so much crap for not having it ready but none of you really understand how much work is put into a server. Especially when I had to make a clone of FTC to reach your standards. My goal was to announce it to the public on that saturday. However I was forced to launch it that wednesday even when I was still in early testing. I did my part on collecting the funds to get FTC back on its feet for almost 9 months and get it fully operational. Evil Pig will continue to host HLstatsX on his website and to fill in for me as OP until Omni picks another is El Matador. I enjoyed my stay here with FT for these past years but it is no longer the clan that I joined. I am going to do my own thing for now on and I wish you all the best of luck with the future of FT. We resign our membership with FT, subclans, and any other admin related duties on the servers and website. I also give the crown as the FT UMP KING to Fox Lord but he needs to get past the 11K mark to claim it. |

Thank you for your efforts during this period of transistion. While the path you have chosen is not the one I think is the best, it is your choice to make. I also trust that this has been thought out and is a serious request for removal. It will be treated as such. I am leary to remove other members based on your word alone... but I trust they feel the same way otherwise their names wouldn't be here. Thank you for all you've done and best of luck in the future. There are a few minor items that need to be wrapped up but I'll PM you about those. Thanks again and good luck. |

Happy 3rd Anniversary FTC!!!! Wow, Bob that was some bullshit. Noskill, that was some diplomatic ‘spare some feelings’ bullshit. Bullshit is not my style, I don’t care for the smell of it. I’d rather speak the truth and shoot from the gut (like a Scout to the Dome.  )First off, what kind of nonsense is this? A locked thread (I unlocked it, btw) whereby 1 person resigns for all 4? LoL, herd mentality much? To Bob: You cite Fetus, WildCard and Jigg as having some sort of impact on your decision to leave the clan… do Pig, Syntax and Kever feel as strongly about these former members? LoL. These guys left [FT] over a year ago… get over it and move on, like everyone else has. People come and go, that’s the nature of the beast... welcome to the internetz. Are you telling us that the past year without Wild, Jigg and Fetus has been so unbearable that you have spent HUNDREDS of hours in the community with a box of Kleenex by your side, mourning for all of the past players? QQ Oh where art thou Kalibur!!!! Pfffft, yeah right. Now you talk about ‘change’ saying that after returning from a 4 month hiatus, the community wasn’t the same. Leave a grilled cheese sandwich on the porch for 4 months and see if it maintains the same shape and color after that much time. Yes you did start a Zombie server in hopes of recreating Wild and Jigg’s ZM server, but you weren’t satisfied because it wasn’t the ‘same’ as theirs? Guess what, your ZM server was EXACTLY the same as theirs… both servers were popular for a little while, then they failed, no difference. It’s an Office/Surf clan, not a ZM clan. Just to finish up on this notion of Change as a reason for leaving, I’d like to point out the obvious… Yes FTC is going through an Ownership/Operational transition and you stepped up. But what I don’t understand is why you won’t tell the rest of the community why you changed the server provider from NFO to the current Galore? Well, YOU didn’t receive the performance that you expected from the old NFO server so you selfishly changed the provider in hopes of solving YOUR connection problems… and look at the result. More people complain about the twitchy models and shitty performance of this current Galore server that is run at half the cost. (Get what you pay for?) It was a selfish move and a large CHANGE from what was expected… sure enough, this is reflected in the shitty connection counts. The server is no longer Owned by 1 person, it is owned by the community and we entrusted you to take hold of the Operational aspect because you asked for it. The responsible thing to do would have been to take note of the complaints and file a Support Ticket with the server provider and request that the issues get straightened out, or ask that the server be moved to a new box. (Alex had to file many support tickets throughout the years, it’s just what responsible server operators do.) You said that the Community donated 9 months worth of funds; did you put all of the eggs in 1 basket and use all of the cash for a 9 month contract? I’d hope that you would have only paid for 1 month, you know, to gauge the performance than renew/find a new company at the end of the month. I think the community deserves to know how its money was spent. And what’s the first thing you did when you got FTC running? You uploaded some bogus Bank mod, a knife health mod, dead talk and whatever else YOU would like to see on a server. (Above and beyond the scope of Alex’s scripts/balancer.) That is a big CHANGE from what the community expected when they donated funds, and quite selfish imo. There is no doubt that this new setup has caused connection drops as well. So for someone citing ‘change’ as a reason for leaving, YOU are responsible for a shitload of the changes, and instead of listening to the community and looking to what has made FTC successful for 3 years, you went ahead and mistook your Operational status to mean Ownership rights and did as you pleased,,, big no-no. To ice the cake… Baghdad Bob wrote ... and to fill in for me as OP until Omni picks another is El Matador. Now its blatantly clear that you’re trying to screw over FTC and the community. You can’t be serious. Giving your OP to someone who has never had Admin on the server before? Way to cut and run when things get thick, and nice attempt to shovel all future blame onto El Matador. It has been fun playing with you Bob, but don’t bullshit us while you cut and run. To EvilPig: Well it’s clear that you never wanted to be just a clan member, you always wanted to be a clan’s leader. Best of luck in reviving Synfull with your CAL rotation server. Please don’t resort to recruiting members from FTC or badmouthing [FT] just to help your cause, it will result in a ban this time. I guess the timing was right for you, pce. To Kever: You worked so hard at trying to join the community and you put up with so much shit. So many members went out of their way to get you in and make you feel welcome, and now all of a sudden you want out? I sincerely hope that you thought about this decision and made up your own mind without being pressured into following a trend. Misery loves company, I hope that you followed your heart. Hopefully the decision to leave was yours alone, and you weren’t coerced. Good times playing Office/Surfing/Scrimming with you dude, its not too late to stay. |

Bob, let me start off by saying I appreciate all you have done for our clan (to little to late i know) and the zombie server was the shit. I was happy it wasn't exactly like Wild's server, because if everyone tried to recreate someone else's server, the internet would all be the same. I'm sorry you had so many problems with your host, but while the server was up, I was a regular because it was so much fun. As for expecting the clan to stay the same... well that's an unrealistic goal. Let's face it, people grow up, get bored, or in emerican's case, get grounded lol. But for every member we lost we gained 2 new ones. They may be newbies, but each one added their own little bits to the clan. Frankly, if the clan didn't change at all, it would dwindle down to nothing and this site would be slower than it was 2 years ago I myself miss the days of Bobby digital, burt reynolds, Darknarf etc. But I still haven't resigned. I've had some dormant periods where I haven't logged on for a month, but I always come back. Kremit, Fetus, and Wildcard aren't the only interesting people in the world. Oh well, it's your choice and no one here is going to force you to stay. I just think you should reconsider cutting all ties to this clan. gl whatever your decision |

people should start their own resignation threads instead of just "yeah i agree bob, lets do it" mob mentality on vent. I very much appreciate how much time and energy bob has devoted to this clan. I also think that, like noskill said, the competitive teams ruined the community. I never see people on FTC anymore, and that has caused me to play i think under an hour since the switch occurred. It's lame. I enjoyed the retreat from life to that server. Since our competitive matches have all been forfeits, I don't even play CS much. Anyway, rambling. Quitting FTC is taking the internet too seriously IMO. |

I think i will only say this to bob, and I will wait a weak for him to say to his fellow resignates, "It's okay, you can go back home now, you were loyal friends but this is not your path." I dont know what happend, but I know you are serious with your decision Bob. Honestly... you wont be forgotten, because you not leaving. I will still look for your name when I push Tab to see my shitty score. I never viewed you as an admin.. or a superior... you were just the shit, and rather enjoyable to play with, because even though you fucked around with us, you were still tip top awesomeness, lol. I am upset to see you go, but oh well. We all love you, deep down, you know that. The only thing to help wounds is time and nourishment, and hope it doesnt become a scar.
