Oh I'm so down. I still play zombie escape sometimes on CS:S. Never gets old. So down for Office.
Also 15 years for me. Fuck man we are getting old as shit.
Also, loving Back 4 Blood. Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys coop zombie action. I play on steam. gLiTch handle was retired with FT. You can find me as theRemedy on Steam friends.

Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

These threads are all sad. It's like everyone comes in to visit just to have their turn beating on the site with a hammer trying to fix it, but they don't know what they're doing and smash it into even more pieces so I just have to sit on the whole thing so nobody comes and breaks it anymore. The CS:Go revitalization sounds like a good idea in theory, but someone has to act. I was never even in FT, got my main account banned, i was only admin in surf for 3 minutes. I don't have the credentials to do anything, glitch is all talk, kremit is a lurker, everyone else is a lurker. The reality is that if nothing is done before cs:go actually comes out it will die in the water just like all the BF clan ideas did.

While I absolutely hate negativity... im inclined to agree with you. Lots of people here are lurkers and ive said this about several games... including L4D, CoD, and BF3... But the one reason i feel this may be easier to start and easier to get off the ground is because this was always first and foremost a Counterstrike clan. I will create a thread tomorrow with a breakdown of ideas. I already looked at servers and im gonna talk to Bahgdad Bob about some better options and pointers for running the server (he is great with that shit). Then im gonna get in touch with Kremit so i can get superuser (Alex maybe you can help me get in touch with him). And your right, this has to get going BEFORE CS:GO otherwise its chances for failing will significantly increase. |

I'll continue with the thread hijacking already in progress... amishburrito wrote ... These threads are all sad. The reality is that if nothing is done before cs:go actually comes out it will die in the water just like all the BF clan ideas did. You're painting a grim picture and I completely agree with your assessment. I suppose I'm a part of the problem that you're talking about but count me in for exploring who/what we may be able to marshal before CS:GO hits. So when is CS:GO being released? I see "early 2012" everywhere which could be days or weeks (or late 2012 if Valve Time is true) Also, I wouldn't focus too much on not being in FT. We're long past the days of worrying about fracturing the clan, and having people start their own clans, poaching people off of FT servers, etc. I'm not saying that I think it's a good idea to ditch FT altogether, but it certainly shouldn't be dismissed. Fuck, I can't even remember if I'm still officially an FT member... definitely not a forum admin but that was by my own request. gLiTch wrote ... I'm not trying to personally single you out, but you're helping prove amish's point about a lot of talk and not a lot of follow-through. To your point about getting in touch with kremit, I haven't spoken to him for literally years. I just sent him a PM and I will try to dig up an email address for him in a day or two if I don't hear anything back. Full disclosure: all I've asked him to do is check out these posts and be aware that these issues are being discussed. There are a lot of directions we can go with the idea of reviving FT in time for CS:GO. I'm genuinely interested in trying to make something happen but it does seem like we're getting ahead of ourselves. On a more positive note, it could also be considered that all the prior bullshit that we went through with FT was just a preparation for the FT Utopia that we will create. If enough people are interested then we have plenty of social clan experience at our disposal, a considerable knowledge about how to (and more importantly how NOT TO) run servers, and list of contacts that we can bother to try it all over again. Like I said, I'm very interested and willing to help, but I want to see more asses in seats before I take this very seriously. So, yeah, we need to discuss somewhere else. |

I'm in. I'd especially love to get surf going somewhere as well (hopefully still able to in CS:GO). Considering I was just laid off and should be collecting unemployment for a little while I straighten out my life, I should have some time here and there, to even just sit on a server. First I'll need to get my old gaming rig back up and running though...my laptop can't even handle Diablo II at the moment... But what ever needs to be done in preparation, just shoot me a PM. And even if work comes my way, I'll do my best to dedicate some time to the servers etc. |

Count me in. I have a little experience as a low level admin and see quite a few old FTer's still active on my friends list. I also would be willing to help populate that mother. I can remember playing 1v1 with foxbox late at night when everyone was sleeping lol I enjoy it. I also would be possibly willing to throw a little money in towards getting this started, assuming we actually make it that far
