Oh I'm so down. I still play zombie escape sometimes on CS:S. Never gets old. So down for Office.
Also 15 years for me. Fuck man we are getting old as shit.
Also, loving Back 4 Blood. Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys coop zombie action. I play on steam. gLiTch handle was retired with FT. You can find me as theRemedy on Steam friends.

Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Obviously, this isn't a termination thread for Zero. I just knew all you fucking drama whores would flock to this thread as soon as you read the title. F-A-I-L!! As most of you have already figured or have been hoping for, I have moved away from CSS. I got tired of dealing with people for quite a while a few months ago leading to taking a break from playing in game but stepped into the main site admin role at that time and mostly took over the handling of the FTC website so that Alex could take a break from handling both the website and the server to focus on the coding additions for his server. In the end, I came back to FTC for about a month before losing interest again. I took this as a sign for me about the game. The same thing happened with Medal of Honor airborne, Call of Duty 4, and Halo 3 as I got bored. All I wanted to do was beat the game and move on. The online games just don't have the same appeal as they once did for me. As the realization about CSS and multiplayer gaming occurred, I also got really tired of the website. Everyone that comes up with a resignation thread always talks about how the server or the website interaction has changed dramatically which forced them to leave. Maybe it has and maybe it hasn't. Each person is entitled to their own perception but change is inevitable wherever you go. Especially true for FTC is that people come, go, and sometimes move on to other things in life. When the negative outweighs the positive, it's time to move on. For me, I was putting in a lot of hours on the back end of the website organizing the forum, moving threads from the wrong sections, granting/removing user access, creating new sections, editing xml/html code, investigating deleted threads/unauthorized user permission changed, and only God knows what else. It was a lot of time and I hope for the best concerning the community. AOL afforded me this opportunity as I could work on site issues in between work assignments before I got caught in layoffs. Things have changed and my new job as a government consultant is already taking up tremendous amounts of time. I am being sent to finish some necessary government certifications immediately followed by being sent for my Masters degree all working towards becoming an associate and hopefully a partner in the firm. Not to mention that I'm trying to reach a 6 figure salary in the next 4 years and get to a million dollars banked away in my 401k in the next 8 years. I just don't have time like I did. For all that read this long post so far, thanks. For all that just want to get to the point, read the rest. All this leads to a necessary "change of the guards." It's time for other people to step up who can actually handle both the responsibilities and time commitments. I have removed myself from the FT roster, 9²5 roster, and FTC Admin List already along with my access to those clan sections. Alex was nice enough to remove my site admin for me. And I'm sure that AP or Omni will remove my SteamID from the Admin list for FTC and KD or Nostie will remove my SteamID from the Admin List on Surf. I wish all of you the best of luck and hope for the best in your future. If a few of you would like to stay in touch, grab me on xfire over the next few weeks to give me your AOL instant messenger name and I'll add you to my buddy list. After a few weeks, I will be upgrading my gaming rig to a Mac which xfire doesn't work on so AIM is the only option to stay in touch. I could load xfire on my work laptop but I really don't want that program loaded on government property. You can also send me a PM with your AIM screename if that's working correctly again. I will try to come around to check my PM on the site but it will be few and far between. Best of luck to you all. Semper Fi. |

Right on, Wild, I understand. I've recently lost most of my motivation to participate on forums and, like you, it has to do with work. I still hop on FTC once a week for a multi-hour session (though I may skip this week because an out-of-town friend is visiting for the holiday season), but I know exactly how you feel about not appreciating what you're putting into the operation versus what you're getting out of it. Your reasons for leaving are easy to understand, and I don't think anyone is going to fault you for wanting to get on with your life. I wish you the best of luck in your new career but I doubt you'll need luck. It's been a pleasure to play and BS with you outside of FTC, and I hope we can stay in touch. I'll get you my work and personal contact details soon! I figured I would pass on dick jokes in this post, but I'm sure there are plenty on the way. Edited Thu Dec 06 2007, 01:17AM |

Wild, the funnest times i have EVER had playing on fish tank servers was when you ran the old zombie server (this includes the old surf days. seriously.). Playing for hours with You, Lion, Diffy, Wakka, 3stripe, and all the others was a blast day in and day out. I had so much fun on that server for the short amount of time we had it, and you put a considerable amount of work into that. Since then you have been one of my favorite fish tankers. We had our times, but hopefully we've put that behind us. You're an awesome guy, and im happy to say i met you. You will be missed, but real life comes first. 6 figures is a hell of a goal. You can pull it off. You know how to reach me on aim. Best of luck to you, man. Btw, go red sox. |
