i cant make mother fucking sense of Donnie Darko I've watched it 3 times now and given it a lot of thought, yet i cant figure out the movie lol if u haven't watched it, watch it and tell me what sense u make of it and hopefully what u gather from it might help me |

another Donnie Darko thread, the internetz baffles me... The main thing of it is time travel. All in all: Donnie Darko whether he chooses to, or is forced to, goes back in time, sacrificing his own life, to save his family, and his new found girlfriend, or love. The movie is placing the thought in your head "if you had the option to sacrifice your life, so others wouldn't die, would you? would it be worth not ever meeting those people or never making memories? Would it hurt too much to let go those that you love, so that others can love?" The movie is supposed to be though provoking, which is why having someone else tell you what happens is kind of pointless, and it loses it's purpose. I feel that he chose to go back in time to save all of those people, but that is just me, there are a lot of other takes on the movie, and researching it online would be your best bet, because on here you are just going to get opinions and opinions, that are based around time travel and self sacrifice. |

lol i love that song, so relaxing but even i have to be careful cuz it'll seriously bring you down i ono i read up a lil on wiki about how the movie but and it kinda made sense, talking about parallel universes and how donnie had to save one of em...alotta scientific fkl/;sdvv but zero's explanation made more sense than anything only thing is, how come at the end hes smiling and laughing and what not, before he was so afraid of death now all of a sudden he welcomes it... meh i think i was focusing on the wrong parts of the movie like what the psychologist was saying...still a crazy movie i love |

This is what I thought. A plane engine lands on his bedroom, yet his alter ego saved him (the guy who kills his GF). So he tries to find out what's going on and stumbles on time travel. Where he realises if he kills his alter ego thing he would of stayed in his bedroom and died therefore his GF would never of died. I haven't seen it in ...time so that's what I got out of it if I remember rightly. |
