Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

We have to be careful when discussing "God" and the Bible. There have been many rewrites and revisions of the bible over the 2000+ years since it was written. Since there were no printing presses back then all copies of the books of teh bible were made by men labouriously copying by hand. The opportunity for mistakes is always there when humans are involved in data processing (Windows anyone??lol) politics of the era played a part in what was copied when and not always with the original kept in mind. If you are interested in checking out how the bible evolved from the first words recorded until todays modern interpretations, read "Misquoting Jesus" by Bart D. Ehrman a biblical scholar who worked on the Dead Sea Scrolls. It is fascinating to see what has survived the ages and what was changed to suit the purposes of the moment (or just through mistakes made in copying). |

JB, a well read person on a gamer's forum is like finding a pearl in your dozen raw oysters at Sam's Seafood Shack. I have heard of the book "Misquoting Jesus," I think the author Bart D. Ehrman was on The Daily Show/The Colbert Report on Comedy Central not too long back. If my memory serves me correct he kinda got stumped on the intelligent design arguement. He felt the universe was not intelligent design, but his book within the universe was. "The creator of an intelligent design, is an intelligent design" I'm sure he has many good points as well, can you think of any good ones that he made in his book? Or like AT said, got any links? For some strange reason I have experienced Deja Vou, responding to this.........again. |

I dont belive in god I think its just away for people to to give meaning to life and cope with all the bad shit that happens in the world. There is just to many things signs that its a BS. For Exmple we have carbon dating on rocks that date back before the bible says earth was created Edited Wed Nov 15 2006, 10:11PM

Uh huh, and also, the "Carbon Dated rocks" are also scientific guesses and theories. Be careful what you believe in. Remember, the wars are all apart of free will that was granted to us.

Actually the Bible doesn't say when the earth was created. So, even with carbon dating that is no proof that God doesn't exist. If you read teh book I mention above, you will find that the author, who spent most of his life int eh church as a scholor, after many years of research left the church and now does not "believe". (belief is based on "Faith" and not on observation or fact, but that is another discussion) |

It also is alike the creator of the Evolutionary theory, Charles Darwin, who gave up the theory to convert to Christianity. Confusing, huh?
