Whats being a christian/catholic/etc etc going to get you? suppose there is no god. you're going to feed the worms, just like everyone else. If there is a god, then so be it, i'm going to hell and I have no problem with it, life's a bitch, death might as well be too. How do you know who is and who isn't going to heaven? are all gods followers going to heaven? how do you know thats true? because the bible says so? and how do you know the bible is true? it was after all (as said) written over and over and over and over by LIVING men who had no actual idea what was going to happen when they died. Everybody's day comes eventually, and we will all have to face the truth about life after death. We'll know the truth then, and not a moment sooner. The fact is, nobody knows, beyond a moments doubt, the truth about the existence of god/higher being/whatever. We believe what we want to believe. If a person's belief is enough for them, then good for them, but the chances are that it won't be good enough for the next person. My belief that there is no god is enough proof for me, and I'm sure your belief is proof enough for you. Who is right? You'll think you are right and I'll think I am right. It is a never ending cycle. You have every right in the world to believe as you do, but so do I. It should be left at that, nobody is right and nobody is wrong. I don't give a rats ass what any of your guys' beliefs are, because no matter what it is, it will not change what I think of you. I'm not an atheist because I "think it's cool to be intellectual and set apart from everyone." I'm an atheist because it's what I feel is right. I don't give a shit if I'm set apart from everyone else. Let me ask you this Wu, what are your feelings towards those religions that don't believe as you do? (such as Wiccan, Buddhism, Taoist, etc etc) Do you feel that they are wrong and you are right? Or do you think that everyone is right? Do you think maybe they are right maybe you are right? I'm just wondering. Oh, and 1 last side question. How do you KNOW that god is man? Why can't god be anything else? Why does it have to be man? |

Lol Wu u make a good point and my friend always says the same thing to me. He always says Chris just think of it this way if there is a heaven and ure an aethist u go to hell and i go to heaven but if there isnt then no harm done its kinda like insurance on ure afterlife u do it just incase ure wrong lol My problem is with the ppl who are taking it to serious to the point of killing each other ex: the medieval crusade Edited Sun Dec 03 2006, 03:21PM | ||

it sure is easy to say that if there was a hell and you were certain to go to it, that you have no problem suffering for all eternaty just because you decided to reject a salvation About not knowing if there really is a God or if you are going to heaven or no is very simple..... *Faith...duh, its what religious people have wether its right or not...its faith |
