Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Omega wrote ... uh no. No one has ever followed the 10 commandments, ever. You dont think Mother Theresa ever lusted? or Ghandi never though "man it would be nice if i could have that guys pants" BOOM burning in hell. I believe in Heaven and I believe in hell...I believe in God. and I believe Jesus died on the cross for our sins. I dont want to sound like I know everything about the bible...becuase I am far from it. I have made mistakes in my life that is for sure and so has everyone. God made us to have our own minds and our own will. God WANTS us to love and want him, he could have MADE us love him. But were are more than just objects to us. God strives to have a relationship with us. He wants us to live our lives and use the ten commandments to follow his path. No where does it say (that I know of) that if you break one commandment than you are going straight to hell. Humans were born sinners, and they continue to sin. Even devote christians sin..its human nature. Just ask Jesus to forgive you for that sin and he will be MORE than happy to do it. |

Omega wrote ... Clouds and babies with wings and bows and arrows, and this is what you strive for? Screw that What a imaginative and rather stupid generalization. Anyways, it is hard to tell if there is a heaven and earth simply because noone died. People are fed beliefs from many years ago to convince us of some logic that fills our wonders. I, myself get into deep thought over whether there is a heaven or hell, and such a place sounds almost too farfetched. However, myself being a Christian, believe that there is a heaven, but not as many people have implied it to be. It's just like people have envisioned hell. Heaven, is not a place of cupids and cute little arrows and angels, and whatever else crap people fed you with when you were still a 3 year old. Heaven is a place of happiness and triumph, and where you go simply to be rewarded for the shit that you went through while the rich people sat there and laughed at you. There's no right or wrong, your mind of earth and conscience of earth is completely gone. You have an eternity to spend in happiness, and if you had what it took to get to that point, it's well deserved. Hell. It's existence is debated more then the existence of heaven. People have also depicted hell as the fiery inferno with demons and pitchforks and the devil himself as a scary red guy with a pointy tail. That, for one, is bullshit. The devil is (Not being gay or anything) a beautiful person. However he is filled with deception. And hell is not that fiery pit that everyone thinks it is. It's actually a manifestation of your conscience where you sit and suffer for the rest of your life alone. Alone to sit and think about the shit you could have done to save yourself. To look at your mistakes all alone. Even though it's hard to imagine that this place exists, the thought of it existing scares the shit out of me. I don't take my chances, and I don't get brainwashed. I go with my instincts. I may have sounded like a preacher but I have studied closely on both heaven and hell to furthermore understand the existence of both of them. That's my logic on heaven and hell. |

As human beings we are full of energy controlling and working our bodies and because... Energy is never lost nor gained; it simply moves or changes..(there is one exception to this i believe from what i remember in my science lessons) What happens to this energy when we die?? I believe our energy and "our soul" is one and the same. So i believe when we die our energy (soul) is moved and/or changes to help and sustain the world. So as nosite wrote nostie wrote ... When you die, your brain ceases to think, and therefore you are not bothered with the delusion of our existance here on earth. I believe this would be the most logical answer...As we have no more energy to work and worry about our bodies ?? maybe that is "heaven" These are jsut my beleifs and they do not hold anymore kudos than christainity,buddhism..and so on becuase really thats what they are "beleifs" Edited Sat Feb 03 2007, 02:17PM |

After the way you put it, scope - I consider earth heaven, because I'd rather think, and know (or trick myself, through brain functions) that i exist, rather than not think at all. | ||

I believe in heaven as an ideal to strive for - every invention by the Church (as an institution) is engineered to control the minds and actions of people. The idea of living righteously now in exchange for eternal happiness and peace is a pretty compelling trade-off, and it's sad that the belief has been corrupted by two millenia of apostates that cannot admit their moral and theological wrongdoing. Heaven is not a motivation to give one's money over to the church or to suck up (literally or figuratively) to any clergyman. Heaven is the personal, intangible reward, as fleeting as it may be in the last moments of life, for living a good life, better than the hedonistic oppressors that the Bible rails against - and rightfully so. Despite my namesake, I was raised - and still strive to be, somehow - a good, God-fearing Catholic. I don't believe in the church, or any of its relatively modern fabrications (granted, that's relative to Jainism, but still.), but I cannot conscientiously call myself atheist, although maybe agnostic might apply at times. We are the princes of the universe, after all. -goes back to watching Highlander- |

Hi guys, Could you all agree that the most important thing is finding truth from open, honest, and careful thought. Example : History. I've never met Henry VIII or Abraham Lincoln or Shakespeare. But if someone said anyone of them didn't exist, I'd look at the Evidence. But it's more important than that because we only have x number of years (if lucky) left. That doesn't mean we should come to a hasty or imcomplete conclusion. I just mean test the doors before you decide if they're all closed. Colosus |
