Although it might not be to you, Mr. percentage man, but the black people I know are very motivated and do get better grades then most kids in my school. Not to mention the fact that most of them are taking advantage of the fact that they finally are free to apply to any school they choose because of racial laws. Doesn't it occur to you that our government's judges and senate is starting to get more populated with black people? Since you're so good with percents, why don't you go and research the percentage of African Americans that are in Congress. I never claimed that i knew 14% of 300,000,000. throughout my replies i have insisted that i do not; but that i am referring to the black kids that I know, and the black kids that go to my school and live in my general area. I was watching the movie Domino earlier, and in one part the "youngest grandmother alive" was on Jerry Spring and she had a flow chart of different races. for instance "Chinegroe" - the mix between a Chinese raced and an African raced person. Now, we aren't trying to look for different classifications, because that we just separate us even more. The final way to "come together" is to accept the fact that that kid can run faster then me, or that other kid can read better then me, but we are all American. We dont have to be superior in a world where superiority is not limited, for it is given randomly as a gift. We just have to accept that what we got helps us in our own little way, and we just have to make it benefit for everyone. Black people can run good and play basketball. Asians can crunch numbers and are intelligent. White people got a little bit of both worlds. We all use different talents, and we just need to evolve into a society where we are okay with what talents we have, and how we can use them to help other people. (SUPERHEROES!!  )idk... to me its not looking to find who is better, but to find who is better at accepting what they are. Im a white country boy who was born in a small town. ill never own my own organization, ill never be in a professional sport, but my goal is to find something I can attain that will help everyone else out in the world. im just 16, my views may be off. |

I asked for other peoples opinions and i got attacked. i said that blacks should have the same civil rights as whites, and i got attacked. all i was trying to do was spark some discussion where people have failed at sparking discussion, and i was attacked. Your biases because you have black friends make you terrible debaters, because your feelings for your friends make you angry. I have black friends. I know intelligent black people. Most of the people who i know that are black are not as intelligent as most of the white people I know. That was my point. All the other shit that i threw out there was for discussion. This is why i constantly said "there's no need for the childish name calling." If you guys have not noticed by now, when i debate, my goal is to make people doubt themselves, so they look into what they believe, and if it's what they want to believe. If I make just ONE person think about their morals, just think about one topic differently, then i have succeeded in my goal, and have achieved a small victory. What I'm noticing is that many of you guys simply throw your beliefs out there and hope other people think what you're saying is intelligent. The goal of this forum is not to preach, it's to change minds. Your goal here is not to prove me wrong, and my goal is not to prove you wrong. my goal is to make you think about something you may not get the chance to think about often.
