Your statement on GW was very wrong indeed, seeing as 1. it has no backup, and 2. GW started this country and would live here until its end. what i meant by that nostie was that based on how bad this country is being run (which DOES relate to gays because it is none of their business) even the founding fathers would find it atrocious. and yes, i know they werent god or anything, but they actually fought a meaningful war. |

I disagree with you there, but this is not the time or place. Maybe if we started a debate forum we could make a topic on GW? Either way, I want to see an opinion of someone who does not think that gay marriage should be legal... |

I am all for it, also. No, I'm not gay, but it really pisses me off when people call things "GAY" and "FAGS" and "HOMOS". It's just stupid, and I don't see a point in it. | ||

it's the same as calling something "retarded" isn't it? Just another fad... a common thing to call things you dislike. It does give the words a terrible connotation, though, since whenever someone's pissed off they recite them, but what can you do about it besides not spread it yourself? | ||

first Id like to aknowledge what drunk said...I completely agree with him 100 percent, that if you choose to be gay or lesbian...forget the kids. and if they want to be married..they can do whatever they want I dont care. I absolutely think its disgusting and all but thats their problem. I dont even get how a guy can like a guy..guys...are gross...so hairy and rough and stuff...why wod a guy be attracted to another guy??when theres so many girls out there...hot girls all kinds of girls..I just cant understrand it..its so messed up and NOT natural. But heres what I DONT agree with...they want to be married..but laws need to be changed for that...and to giveTHEM the freedom to bemarried...some ppl lose their freedom to NOT marry them. Here in canada if minister wants to preach and have a license he HAS to marry anyone...whether they are gay or not.. So they get their freedom, but a minister and an entire church loses the freedom to stand up for what they believe..and thats what pisses me off. Another thing is...they can do whatever they want..but I dont have to accept it..I think its gross and Ill be honest and be the first to say it...I dont care to associate with gay ppl...its repelling to me and wierd. so they can be whatever they want but I just hate how everyone is SUPOSED to accept it. Well matador, advocates for homosexuals would say that its not a preference, but an orientation. I'm a Resident Assistant on campus, and I have to stomach tons of Diversity training bullshit. One time I said sexual preference instead of sexual orientation, and I got yelled at by a housing director. She was all like "THERES A DIFFERENCE. you might PREFER chocolate to vanilla, but you dont PREFER women over men do you? You just like women, that is your orientation" And i'm very conservative. Still, I don't know how much of this I believe. I definitely don't agree with any hate or anything like that. I may think homosexuality is wrong, but that doesn't mean we need to treat them as less than human. As for marriage, I believe it is more than a governmental institution, but that it is religious in nature. Therefore, I also believe God intended marriage to take place between a man and a woman, and marriage should be just that. People respond to that saying "what about civil unions for homosexuals then?" (civil union is like another term for marriage, just all the legal benefits and stuff). I haven't really decided how I feel about it, but I lean towards no. |

i have NOTHING against gays, im fine with it, but when im not that kinda guy who likes to get too close to gay people, it just makes me feel uncomfortable (doesnt it for everyone non-gay?). i know lots of people have gay friends and they are straight, im cool with that. but im not a fan when they come up to me and start making out with each other or something... =D and im not in anyway trying to demote gays when ingame or in real life i say "GAY" all the time. like nostie said, its just a fad or w.e, its a lingo. For Example: Take the word "Retarded", (most) a lot of people (probably even you) say retarded. when people could take that in offence if they have a mentally/physically impaired friend/family member. but i mean, its become everyone's slang/lingo now. now people say "mentally retarded" instead of just "retarded", when the definition of retarded MEANS mentally stupid/impaired. |

I really don't like the idea of seeing men slobber all over them, and even sometimes when women do it, I don't exactly get turned on. You can't really control another person's thoughts/wants so all I can do is suggest things to them or try and convince them not to be gay. It never works, but it's worth a try. I'm not a homophobe, and most homosexuals are hilarious and always have good jokes. I tend to joke around with the gay jokes as do 90 percent of the people here in FTC, but I, as well as them (I'd hope so) are not gay. If you want to be gay that's your choice. I'm sort of against gay marriage but as I said, you can't control others. And as long as they keep marrying each other it's not going to bother me because hell, leaves me more chicks! And most lesbians are bisexual so that's more fun for me! |
