Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Hey hey hey.... now how did drinking and smoking get brought up? We're talking about fitting in are we not? That depends entirely on your pursuasiveness and wit. Not on any particular choices you make... As far as drinking and smoking are concerned those are my two favorite past times. And I'll be the first one to tell you it sure as hell doesn't make me "cool". I'm cool because I'm awesome =) |

nostie wrote ... I know how ya feel rollins. I think that my group of friends is one of the few that don't have to act a certain way to be "cool"... I think a lot of the people that post on this forum don't try to act "cool" because we've given up on that (because we know we're all geeks) I think that the biggest group of people who try to act cool are "wiggers", because they're trying to act tough like they're something special when they're not. I think the two things that should be avoided by people trying to act "cool" is w33d and b33r... Drink/smoke if you want to, and look into it before you do... but don't drink/smoke because other people are. yea dont get into drugs and things to try to make your self seem cooler. life is to great to waste it in that stuff for such a superficial reason. Drugs arnt as bad as people make them out its just the majority of users cant control them selves into being able to balance life and drugs. If you make drugs the focal point of your life you will destroy yourself. Be careful and be smart and use drugs for reasons that you see fit for your self and not anyone else. if possible try to stay away from them all together. |

I'll come from a different stand point. When i had just turned 16, i was one of the "scene kids" in Edmonton. I was really popular, and i let it get to my head and my ego got the best of me. I became a complete dick to the people i cared most about, and i took everything i had for granted. You act differently arround certain people because there's a certain image you're expected to represent at our ages. I'm only 17, and yet i feel like i'm 20 talking about what it was like when i was 16. If by some stroke of chance you become a well known person throughout a big city, much like i did (unfortunately). There's a high chance that you as a person are going to change, and more often then less it's for the bad. It got to the point recently where I couldn't go to the store without having someone recognize me, and i just stopped going out entirely for about 4 months, unless it was to go see my now ex-girlfriend, or to go to work. It's harder than alot of people think to live as a teenager in our day and age. There's so much pressure on you for what you should look like, and how you should act. It can either make or break a person. Rollin's, i really hope that everything goes easier for you than it did for me, because honestly, as awsome as it seems at first to be the popular kid, it's a living hell. |
