Political correctness is bullshit. The idea of trying to spare everyone's feelings is a good and well meant idea but to force people into accepting others is ridicules. We live in a free country where people are allowed to be as kind or cruel as they like to be and yet we are allowing freedoms to be taken away because some people aren't comfortable with being called something. Now I am not talking about being racist or just plain mean. I am talking about things like Midget is politically incorrect now and form what most people say it is correct to call them the little people...... First of all What the hell the little people sounds a lot worse then midget lol. Second since when has midget become a word of malice? I mean there are words which are clearly made to insult people but now a days people are going overboard. Kinda like black people can no longer be called black they are African American. Look black is a description of the person's color that sets them apart. That is like saying I am no longer a white man I am a dark pigment deficient man. My point is that Politically correct things just keep getting worse and worse where is the line going to be drawn? Are we going to become so caring a society that we can no longer use any words because saying anything to anyone would have some chance to offend. Can we no longer describe people in any way at all because a descriptions would possibly offend even though it is true. Look the world is a rotten place it is full of hate and bad intent taking away words will not fix that. It is true that I should tolerate people but that means I do not go out of my way to inflict harm mental or physical on them. It means to deal with it not to accept it or to embrace it. What are your thoughts on PC and where do you think the line should be drawn? |

I hate political correctness I am right there with you with the stupidity of things such as using little people instead of midget and the one that gets me the most differently abled instead of handicapped or crippled, I'm sorry but changing the name of something doesnt change its nature. Our society has become way too pussified we need to stop worrying so much and relax. | ||

We should have drawn the line a long time ago! I hate being PC I'll say what ever the hell i want. Some people need to learn to suck it up and stop being a bunch of little pussy! The worlds full of hate and its not going to stop just because you don't like it. When someone gets in trouble because the person next to them doesn't like it makes me think twice about the words "freedom of speech".
