Burress had the weapon in his pants when it shot off. which means the gun was NOT pointing at anyone, and it was an accident. He was in a club, not a school zone. school zone is WAY worse to the courts/judges. The judge will say "well who else had a gun in dat club, errone?" The Game had previously already gotten in a fight, which means there were already high tensions, meaning it was an escalated situation. Burress had it randomly happen, and the only thing that was escalated was hiding the situation, and the weapon. I will be honest with you, it could all blow up and be a huge deal and he could get over 2 years. But it's just my opinion, this just like a lot of other shit that blows over, will BLOW THE FUCK OVER. all of your points are flawed, and that little article of "the game getting 60 days" just proves my point. that situation was wayyyy fucking worse and he got SHIT for it. If burress gets a good lawyer, which he has already with all of his money, I say he won't even fucking get JAIL TIME. So we sit and wait to see who is wrong... in the mean time, let's discuss this, cuase your last point was SHIT. |

Zero, you are forgetting something. Discharging a weapon, that is a major felony, unless you are hunting with permits in the right season. So he is looking at possession on an unregistered firearm. Concealed firearm. Discharging a fire arm in a public area. Not to mention it was a full club. Accident or not, firing a gun in a club will get you some time, if you hit yourself, someone else or no one. I personally think it was more of a gang matter, and he is covering for a gang he was probably in at one point and time. With a good lawyer he'll get a year. |
