Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

In order to truely appreciate this rivalry I suggest you watch these videos: On the rivalry: -[link]- Things that happened this week [T.O. related] -[link]- ROFL T.O. cant rap ahahah -[link]- Terrell Owens thought to have Attempted Suicied (denied) -[link]- T.O. on Jimmy Kimmel Live -[link]- Broadcast: FOX (4:15 PM ET): Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Pam Oliver (Field reporter) Series Leader: Cowboys [51-39] Streaks: Eagles [9 of 12] Coaches vs. opponent: Parcells [12-10] & Reid [10-4] Last Week: Cowboys [W @ Titans 45-14] Eagles [W v Packers 31-9] Last Game: 11/14/05: Cowboys 21 at Eagles 20. Dallas S Roy Williams returns interception 46 yards for TD as Cowboys erase 13-point deficit in final 4 minutes. Last Game @ Site: 11/14/05 (Oct. 4, 2006) -- Nearly one year after catching his last pass for the Eagles -- followed by his acrimonious departure -- Terrell Owens is heading back to Philadelphia. The fans at Lincoln Financial Field are sure to have quite a reception planned. Owens makes his much-anticipated return to Philadelphia when his Dallas Cowboys (2-1) face the first-place Eagles (3-1) in a battle for control of the NFC East. Philadelphia acquired Owens in 2004 with the hopes that the talented but often-troubled receiver could carry the team to a championship after it lost in the three previous NFC title games. Owens did that, catching 77 passes for 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns in the regular season as the Eagles advanced to the Super Bowl. After suffering a devastating ankle injury during the playoffs, Owens made a surprising return from surgery to catch nine passes for 122 yards in the Super Bowl, but Philadelphia lost 24-21 to New England. Following that defeat, Owens' troubles in Philadelphia began. In April 2005, he criticized quarterback Donovan McNabb for getting tired during the Super Bowl, then demanded a new contract one year into a seven-year, $48.97 million deal during training camp. Owens was also sent home by coach Andy Reid for a week after the two engaged in a shouting match during that camp. Owens continued to antagonize McNabb and team management during the early season, at one point hinting that Green Bay's Brett Favre was a better quarterback than McNabb. Eventually, the Eagles had had enough, and suspended Owens without pay for four games, then deactivated for the final five. With Owens sidelined and McNabb playing through pain and missing the final seven games following surgery for a sports hernia, the Eagles sputtered to a 6-10 record. A few days after the Eagles expectedly released him in March, Owens signed a three-year, $25 million deal with Dallas. "In the last year, this is the game that everybody marked on their schedule, so I'm looking forward to the game just like everybody else," he said. Owens is looking forward to the game for different reasons than the Eagles' notoriously rowdy fans are. He's sure to be the target of their anger and ridicule throughout the contest, but claims he isn't concerned about it. "Hey man, I'm having fun," he said. "I'm not going to let what the fans say or do take me out of my game." Owens has continued to make headlines off the field with his new team, being hospitalized last Tuesday for what police termed an accidental drug overdose after Owens said he mixed the pain medication he was taking for a broken bone in his right hand with dietary supplements. Initial reports suggested that the incident may have been a suicide attempt, but Owens denied that he was trying to harm himself. Five days later, he played in the Cowboys' 45-14 win over Tennessee, catching five passes for 88 yards. "Regardless of all the critics and everybody speculating, it doesn't bother me," Owens said. "On the inside of my house, I vent to my people. I have people I talk to. Once I step on the football field, it is all football." Owens has caught 14 passes for 187 yards and a touchdown in three games this season. He dropped a pass in the end zone against the Titans, but quarterback Drew Bledsoe says his presence was a huge boost for the team. "When Owens is out there, (Terry Glenn ) gets single coverage and you can't cover him one-on-one," said Bledsoe, who threw for 179 yards on 13-of-20 passing and connected twice with Glenn for touchdowns. The Cowboys rank first in the NFL with 29.7 points per game and fourth in the conference with 362.0 yards per contest. Bledsoe has thrown for a TD in nine straight games and Julius Jones has rushed for 288 yards on 60 carries in three contests. The Eagles, however, have also been extremely productive offensively. They rank first in the NFL with 426.5 yards per game and second in the conference with 29.2 points. With his hot start, Donovan McNabb isn't about to let the Terrell Owens saga be a distraction McNabb has completed 59.4 percent of his passes for 1,248 yards, nine touchdowns and one interception, and has run for 86 yards and two scores. He threw for two touchdowns and rushed for two more in the Eagles' 31-9 win over Green Bay on Monday. "He's healthy, he's not thinking about injuries, he's able to move around the pocket and get the ball to those weapons," safety Brian Dawkins said. McNabb couldn't resist taking a little jab at his Owens when asked Wednesday to compare this year's 3-1 start and the same start last season. "You look at the things we've been able to do and it's been as a team," he said. "No one has tried to stand among themselves away from the team or doing different things. Guys are playing well together." Still, the Eagles are doing what they can to avoid getting wrapped up in the T.O. circus. "They are a tremendous football team and we have to prepare ourselves properly," Reid said Tuesday. "We understand that it's not about one person coming in here, but it's about that whole football team. They have strengths across the board and it is important we prepare ourselves right this week and eliminate any distractions that might be presented to us." Running back Brian Westbrook was a late scratch from Monday's game because of a knee injury. Westbrook, who ran for 117 yards on just eight carries in Dallas' 38-24 win over San Francisco on Sept. 24, did not practice Wednesday and is listed as questionable. Receiver Donte' Stallworth (hamstring) and cornerback Rod Hood (heel) missed practice Wednesday, and are listed as doubtful. Receiver Reggie Brown (shoulder/quadricep) and corner Lito Sheppard (ankle) are also questionable, but practiced. Dallas won both matchups with Philadelphia last season, including a 21-20 victory Nov. 14 at Lincoln Financial Field. The game was the last of the season for McNabb, who was hobbling badly after throwing an interception that was returned for a touchdown with 2:43 left. IMPORTANT STUFF: Injury Report: Dallas Cowboys: Questionable: C Andre Gurode (Head Lacerations) Philadelphia Eagles: Doubtful: CB Roderick Hood (Heel) WR Donte' Stallworth (Hamstring) Questionable: WR Reggie Brown (Shoulder) CB Lito Sheppard (Ankle) RB Brian Westbrook (Knee) Probable: WR Hank Baskett (Shoulder) SS Sean Considine (Hip) RB Reno Mahe (Ankle) OLB Matt McCoy (Stinger) TE L.J. Smith (Shoulder) Team Notes: Dallas Cowboys: Head coach BILL PARCELLS is 55-36-1 (.603) all time vs. NFC East opponents … QB DREW BLEDSOE (249) needs TD pass to become 12th player in NFL history with 250 career. Seeks 3rd consecutive win as starter vs. Eagles … RB JULIUS JONES has rushed for 70+ yards in 18 of 22 career starts, including 122-yard, 1 TD game last week … WR TERRELL OWENS returns to Phil for 1st time as member of Cowboys. Spent ’04-’05 with Eagles, helping club to berth in SB XXXIX. WR TERRY GLENN’s teams are 17-4 (.810) when he posts 100-yard game … JASON WITTEN (197) needs 3 receptions to become 4th TE in team history with 200 career. Had career high 133 receiving yards & career high-tying 9 catches in last game vs. Phi … Defense ranks 1st in NFC & 4th in NFL allowing 4.2 yards per play … 2nd-year LB DE MARCUS WARE has 5 sacks in past 5 games … CB AARON GLENN had 40th career INT last week vs. Titans & is 1 of 4 active players with 40+ career INTs (Ty Law, Troy Vincent, Darren Sharper). S ROY WILLIAMS seeks sack or INT in 4th game in row vs. Eagles. Had 46-yard INT-TD in last meeting. Philadelphia Eagles: Rank 1st in NFL avging. 6.6 yards per play & 297 passing yards per game … QB DONOVAN MCNABB is 8-4 (.667) all-time as starter vs. Cowboys. Ranks 1st in NFL with 8.73-yards per pass avg. & has 2+ TD passes in 4 consecutive games & 300-yard passing games in 3 of 4 ’06 starts. His 94.3 3rd down passer rating, 7th in league, helps club convert 46.0 pct. on 3rd downs (23 of 50), 3rd in NFL … RB BRIAN WESTBROOK ranks 5th in NFL with 420 yards from scrimmage. Club is 18-5 (.783) all-time when Westbrook has 100 scrimmage yards … DONTÉ STALLWORTH ties for 2nd among NFL WRs with 7 catches of 20+ yards. Avgs. 20.7 yards per catch, 4th in NFL (min. 10 catches) … L.J. SMITH ties for 1st among NFL TEs with 4 catches of 20+ yards & ranks 3rd with 18 receptions & 224 receiving yards … DE TRENT COLE ties for NFL lead with 5 sacks & has 10 sacks in 19 career games. DT MIKE PATTERSON ties for NFL lead with 2 defensive fumble recoveries. S BRIAN DAWKINS (28) needs 2 INTs to become 5th player in franchise history with 30. Fantasy Spin: The big matchup to watch is Dallas OT Flozell Adams versus DE Trent Cole. QB Drew Bledsoe does not play well against teams that blitz a lot. The Eagles didn't blitz much Monday night, but they may have been saving it all for this week. The Dallas plays are RB Julius Jones, WR Terry Glenn and TE Jason Witten. I imagine that the Eagles will do everything possible to take Terrell Owens out of the game ... For Philadelphia, Donovan McNabb has thrown two TD passes in each of his four games, and has over 300 yards in three of four. You have to check the injury status of RB Brian Westbrook and WRs Reggie Brown and Donte' Stallworth. If Westbrook plays, he'll get you points. Stallworth has a history of coming back slowly from hamstring injuries. [Courtesy NFL.com] Key Players: Cowboys: Terry Glenn: Obviously the story is Terrell Owens and his return to Philadelphia but the player Glenn could potentially be a much greater threat. If Lito Sheppard is unable to play then Glenn could find himself matched up against the likes of Joselio Hanson. Add to that the fact that he is coming off a game where he scored two touchdowns and you have a scary WR on your hands. Last year Glenn caught 9 passes for 149 yards and 3 TDs against Philadelphia. Projected Numbers: 7 Receptions 121 Yards 1 TD Eagles: Donovan Mcnabb: Mcnabb is coming off of a game where he turned his rushing ability and Greg Lewis into the keys to the game. He rushed for two TDs in the same game for the first time in his career after Westbrook was inactive for the game and both of his starting WRs [Stallworth and Brown] were injured. He will need to do the same thing against the Cowboys but it could prove much more difficult than it was against Green Bay. The reason this may be is that Dallas runs a 3-4 with fast LBs. Dont expect many runs of 15+ but do expect a few runs of 5-10 yards. Projected Numbers: 275 Passing Yards 35 Rushing Yards 3 TDs [2 Passing, 1 Rushing] -------------Wu's Prediction-------- If you look at the Injury list, I bolded the 5 main guys that are injured for the eagles, plus im pretty sure Jevon Kearse is out. Because of all these injuries, this is going to be a MUCH TOUGHER game for the Eagles. To be completely HONEST I would expect an Eagles Blowout if the team was healthy, just as ESPN Analysist Steven A. Smith said last night. Physical game. GOD. wrote ... You are not a man.i dont know anything about football does this make me not a man? And i want the cowboys to win because thats been my favorite team for forever. But i'm behind the eagles hype right now because i live in a house of eagles fans and philly is the team around the state. Eagles have a better team from what I've seen but we will see. It's hard to call right now but wu's prediction seems reasonable. |
