Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Okay since the NFL is coming up soon, I took the liberty of creating a preview of it for you. I have my predictions in this preview of how things will turn up. Although my best knowledge is obviously in the AFC North, I will do my best to observe the other conferences. **AFC North** 1. Bengals - An offense to be reckoned with, they have the best chance at first place this year. With Carson Palmer as their starting quarterback, and a trio of young receivers, they have one of the best if not the best offense in the NFL right now. And a halfway decent defense backs them up and a more than dependable Shane Graham as their kicker, they have it down in the books to nail first place. It won't be an easy accomplishment to take the North as it looks to be the best division in the NFL. Look for the Bengals to take first with a record of 11-5. 2. Steelers - It's a crazy assumption, but with the way they're playing right now in the preseason they could turn around a mediocre 8-8 season. With a variety of new coaches, it might take some time to settle in and get used to the adjustments but in time they are going to be yet again the team to beat. The 1st team offense has been cruising along in the preseason with minimal mistakes, this could finally be the season where the Steelers show more than just Defense. The loss of Joey Porter and a few others seems to show no signs of a terrible loss at all for the Steelers so look for them to keep playing agressive in the defensive aspect. A wildcard finish or maybe even a division title could be in store for the Steelers this year. Look for them to finish 11-5. 3. Browns - This is a young team that has been rebuilding the past years. With Jamal Louis for their halfback and possibly an impressive Quinn in the near future, this team looks to be in good shape soon. They do have talent in their wide recievers as well to help out in the development of Quinn. As for their defense, Andre Devis and Willie McGinest are two players to lead them. They don't really have an impressive front, so look for them to be in the defensive situation that has plagued them for the past years. A 7-9 finish for them is what is in store. 4. Ravens - Known for their defense is what these guys are. However, their offense leaves much to be desired. With an aging Steve Mcnair whom always seems to get injured, they do not have a set in stone quarterback. And on top of the fact of that, they really have no wide receivers for Mcnair to throw to. They may want to move to the running game as much as they can. With Willis Magehee, they have some legs to power up the running game. The defense will always continue to back up the lackluster offense as much as it can, but that's if the offense scores any points at all. Look for them to finish last in the division, 5-11. **AFC East** 1. Patriots - These guys are going to continue dominating the AFC East. They still have a reliable Tom Brady as their quarterback and talented wide recievers. The moves they have made in the past years might look stupid to fans of the teams, but they have always proved to be excellent moves. The running game is still fine with Laurence Marony in the backfield who is explosive. And the defensive game is always executed perfectly. These guys continue to win, and as the division grows stronger year by year, it will not be easy. Look for the Pats to win the division 11-5. 2. Dolphins - A key defensive addition will help the already strong defense that the Dolphins have. They will be tough to beat with Joey Porter helping out with the already agressive blitzing unit that they have, so look for them to score more points on defense. The offense is continuously improving, with Ronnie Brown in the backfield and the newly added Trent Green. With Chris Chambers and Marty Booker to throw to, Trent has some wide receivers to throw to that he really didn't have in Kansas City. This team has been rebuilding for a while and they finally have a team that is getting much better. A few years more and this team will be Super-Bowl prone. Look for them to finish 10-6. 3. Jets - They have been waiting for Chad Pennington to prove them reliable. The defensive effort has been improved and they are a force to be reckoned with as well. They definetely have a talented wide receiver to throw to as Jerricho Cotchery proved to show that he really is far from a rookie. With Thomas Jones in the backfield, he still seems to be a good running back so they do have a running game established. Just like the Dolphins, they have been rebuilding as well so look for them to be a threat in the future. I look for them to finish 7-9 this year. 4. Bills - This team is still a mess. Nobody knows who the quarterback will be next year or this year even. They have Lossman who has his off days for sure. Lee Evans is a speedy WR who is dangerous so they can make some big plays off of him. They do have a pretty good defense, just a lacking offense. A few top 10 draft picks and a couple of offseason accusations in the future will prove good for this team but this isn't their year. 6-10 should be where they finish. **AFC South** 1. Colts - Coming off a Super Bowl victory, they look no different. They still have Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, ect. They will always be a threat in the air until Manning is ancient. They have a great running game to resort to with Joseph Addai in the backfield, so look for them to throw teams off balance with the running game. The defense is still pretty good but incredibly inconsistent. They have Dwight Freeney locked in place so he's going nowhere, and they have a few good players in the defensive backfield. The pass protection still leaves yet to be desired, and the run defense is good but they are the main reason the defense is labled inconsistent. They might be good now, but players aren't young forever. They have a few good years left in them but look for the Colts to start digressing. They still are the best AFC team, and are still a contender for a repeat. Look for them to finish 12-4. 2. Jaguars - This team is good. They will be your division leaders in the near future. A good offense that needs a little more work and a continuously impressive defense is what is fueling this team. David Garrard will continue to improve, and they have Jones-Drew in the backfield, who is a dangerous running back. There isn't much to say other than the fact that they will content for the playoffs a lot more than they have in the past years in the future. Look for them to take a wildcard spot, 10-6. 3. Texans - This might finally be the season that they actually don't finish in last. With a new quarterback in place, Matt Schaub, they actually might have a better passing game. Of course, that's if their line holds up. They keep adding on to the improving defense which is starting to show some life. It's a slow start for them, but they are slowly moving up. I doubt that they are going to pose any threat in the near future but hey, at least fans will get to see them win some more than they have. 7-9 is what I see for them. 4. Titans - They could be the worst team this year. With a mediorcre defense, a young Young at qb, and a weak offense, they don't pose any threat. They'll be lucky if they finish ahead of the Texans this year. They do have Chris Brown at rb but he does good assuming that his line holds up and blocks for him. Titan fans will have to wait a few more years because this is a developing young team. The glory of the old Titans are gone but look for the new one to settle in soon enough. 5-11 should be just about right for them. There is your AFC preview for this year. I will work on the NFC preview once it's not 4:54 AM. You can thank my over-addiction to Madden 08 for helping me write this one out. If you took some time to read please let me know how I did as this is my first NFL preview. I tried to keep an eye on most of the moves that were made and I did watch the entire NFL draft (Steelers dissapointed me with the first round pick >.<) Again, I have a lot to say for the NFC which I pick for that conference to win the Super Bowl this year. More when I make my new post |

let me add that 1. the patriots added randy moss, donte stallworth, adalius thomas, and wes welker. all huge additions to address needs. brady finally has weapons. 13-3 2. The dolphins have no offensive line, and a 35 year old quarter back wont do shit on the run from 5 defensive guys every play. 3. the jets are a way better all around team than the dolphins. flip flop them. |

I disagree with Trent Green. He can make things happen. He played for 8 consecutive seasons without getting injured, and last year's was an unfortunete mishap. He is looking well in the preseason and so is the protection for him. I will keep them in their place. Yes the Jets are good, but they aren't better. The division there is tough as well except for the Bills, they're just a waste of space in that division basically so it'll be a tougher thing to judge than it seems. |

trent green for those eight years has had an outstanding offensive line. do you remember a fellow named daunte culpepper? he got sacked 25 times in 8 games last season. what did the dolphins do to improve it?

Twinkie, Green is actually like 40 or something. He is pretty damn old. Dolphins might be in the race b/c of their defense and trent green can maybe make some things happen. The Patriots i think had the best offseason and had the biggest depth chart in receivers.

Patriots will win and go far, but not all the way. The Tom Brady era will end soon enough.

I Live in florida and am a die hard dolphins fan. it is true that we had a shitty offensive line last year but we picked up a few free agents along with drafting the samoin center Satele who is doing a great job as far as the preseason goes. i'm expecting good things from trent green this year but he is only temperary solution for a quarterback because of his age wich is why we picked up John Beck in the draft from BYU or bringim young university. as far as what i've seen in the preseason john beck has done better than trent green but you have to remember that he is a rookie and will take a while to get used to the game. i'm looking foward to a good season with the dolphins and i also predicted them at 10-6.
