It could just be a ploy to get other teams (i.e. Dodgers, Angels) to say "Fuck, we need to get on the ball now, and offer that guy $300Million today! We may never get another chance" Though he may end up a Yankee, this is probably just a game to jack up his asking price and get ball clubs to start making him offers. I love how the language is written: "Has agreed to the outline". What that means is that nothing is signed. Until something is signed, don't believe the hype. |
