Just wondering if anyone here has any experience in sports betting and/or bookmaking. Basically if you do bet what's your typical amount and bet type? Does anyone fuck with parlays or teasers? Straight bets? Moneylines? What are you guys into? I got a friend thinking about booking. Anybody ever have any legal trouble doing this etc. etc. Usually I'll take a straight bet or two every weekend but I'm looking to get a little more serious. We've found a few locals who don't juice things like teasers which... can be a significant advantage. But if we broke the bookie... there goes that fun. |

Never had that problem, although it's easy to solve. Everyone knows people who will do favors for a price. But if it's a small amount the guy just gets blacklisted. I haven't seen any bets too crazy... $700 on a single game is the most we've dealt with just far. But if it's over a G u just have someone take care of it. Set up a payment plan with the guy. There's ways to deal with it. |

I don't bet. but I am a loan shark, I have had to take a hammer to someone's knee cap. Seems the best way to get the money out of them! |

I can honestly say, gambling is one vice I never developed. I think it's kind of dumb to risk money on a system that is designed to work against you. On a related note, I am willing to risk my anus and open it to anyone who wants it. |

So this week I'm taking a 3 team 9 pt teaser. I don't have to lock in my picks 'til game dame but so far: Teased Pitt to +1.5 from -7.5 Now I don't know which games I want to play. TB +3 from -6 seems like a solid play, with San Fran sucking and TB playing for playoff spot. Also TB leads the league in forced turnovers where SF has 32 turnovers on the season. After that... it's a toss up between any game. Can JAC beat OAK by 13? I dunno but they can probably beat them buy 4. CLE and CIN is pretty much flat this week, taking CLE +8 with Braylon Edwards vs a beatup CIN secondary, safe? Or DAL, can DAL beat CAR by 1.5?????? Can INDY beat HOU??? What do you guys like? |
