And he PWNED people in bf actually butterfly is his number 1 event. But when you're that good at butterfly, you have to be good at all other events (minus breast stroke). Also, who ever said that suit was the reason, those suits really suck for breaststroke. If you notice in the breaststroke only events, most people wear full bodys that cutoff above the knees like a jammer would. I've work all those types of suits, but haven't gotten to try the new material, like the ones they had, I can't wait for this championships when I get one for free though! ps. Phelps is sick, so is ian crocker, arron piersol, brendon Hanson. Just to name a few who are actually faster in their events (minus crocker). But congrats to be the greatest Olympian in history. |

The media focuses too much on Phelps, they hardly give a bit of credit to all the other guys who've worked their asses off as long or maybe longer than Phelps. Every time I tune into the Olympics, there's a short story/interview/commercial, etc. about him. They need to give people like Aaron Piersol or even that Jason guy who anchored the men's swimming relay. I can't even count how many times I've heard "PHELPS, THE GREATEST ATHLETE IN HISTORY" or something relative to it. Yes, he's good, he's fucking awesome, but give the little guys a chance to shine. | ||

Omni, I've been swimming for about 10 years I think, since I was in 6th grade, I was only very good in highschool where me and my best friend always placed first in our league. We actually had more points than our whole team freshman and sophmore years. (if you added our two together) I used to do every event, but am now the number 3 breastroker at my college. I swim my 50 yard bs in 30 flat, my 100 in 1:10ish and my 200 in about 2:45. They aren't great times, I know, but I place top 3 in most meets, and will place top 16 in championships for out ecac D3 league. thats about it for me, I still swim free on occasion, but just average. 25.5 50 and 57.5 100 |
