Well we started out all blood and vinegar, and now none of us make an attempt to get the server going any more. We were all so happy about the revival, let's just go about and show it. FTC Night will truly restart on Tuesday, November 12, and it will continue every Tuesday and Thursday following that. I'm tired of logging on here to watch us bash on each other for political views and shit. Let's just play FTC and let all of our drama come from Kever Hacking Accusation. FTC is still up right now, and we aren't making use of it. I don't know how long FTC will continue to be up, so let's make the best of it. What I mean by that last sentence is this. I don't fully think that Alex wants to run the server any longer. He said to me via pm that he regrets being such a significant part of the revival of FTC (I'm paraphrasing). As the server is currently run and owned by Alex in his residence, we must be fully aware of what this means to the continuance of FTC. Alex can easily stop the server at any time he sees fit. I don't know if there is an expected time or deadline for when this will happen; I haven't been able to contact him for some time. So, we should make the best of FTC. There is just as much of a chance that it will continue to run without problems for the next 2 years as there is a chance that it will run for another 2 months. Regardless of this, we need to be prepared to decide if we let FTC die or if we continue it. More importantly right now in my mind is that we all stick together and start actually playing FTC again. It took 3 FTC nights for us to reestablish our old member base. We didn't even allow enough time for new members to come in. So, plan on Tuesday night being devoted to playing FTC. We'll see what happens in the future and address it when it happens. Just be prepared for donations in the next 2-6 months, if we decide to continue FTC. Same for surf. We should all start playing again and being happy. |

I do appreciate you heading this FTC "revival" but unfortunately I doubt anything will bring us back to prominence. Whenever I check the site I glance at the amount of players in FTC. Always 0/22. That certainly isn't motivating me to play CSS. The only thing that can spice up the activity on the forums and in-game would be a new Counterstrike packaged with Half-Life 2 Episode: 3, which in reality is possible. With all of the new shooters flowing into stores I hardly have the motivation to purchase a new Steam ID. Not to mention the absence of Wildcard (was that his name?) and Fetus. |

I think it's safe to admit we're all abject failures at this server thing. I'm pretty content with the forums to be honest lol, look we have 3 different servers, all are 0/. But yet the forums are huge... obviously people don't come here for the servers. Maybe we'll have a popular server again one day, and if not, so what? We all still play together, even though we play like 12 different games. I think activity is actually pretty healthy right now. |

Quoted for truth I also have been way too busy with my studies, and have had no time to get on to play ANYTHING, especially with my computer shitting on me. I was recently talking to an older friend who set up his own quadcore gaming computer, and wants people to play games with. But he's more of an RPG guy more than a FPS guy. so I told him to tell me of a game he really likes, and I'd start playing that with him. I just can't do CSS anymore. I'm not good at it which is most important to WANTING to keep trying it, and my computer has never successfully been able to run it for over two hours MAX. It's just something I practically can't be a part of anymore til I get a new computer, and that's when I go off to college, and that's when my studies REALLY start getting to me. I'm sorry but I don't know how much I can do for you guys other than stay here on the forums. Like noskill said, at least that brings us together for the most part. Just please, no more ragequits? |
