Remember, it was VAC aka. VaLve aka. Steam that accused you of cheating.  I don't think anyone would have accused you of hacking based on your play on FT servers. The issue is not 'Why is everyone accusing me of hacking?' The issue is 'Why does Valve seem to think I hack?' Its fishy (pardon the pun). This situation has 2 sides and clearly we know what side VAC is on, so I wanted to give you an opportunity to let us know your side without jumping to a rash conclusion.Well.... Why does Valve seem to question your legitimacy so strongly that they are willing to prevent you from playing on secure servers? >I am willing to accept that it was an honest mixup over in Valve HQ, but at least try to make a case and 'work' to convince us that infact you were screwed out of a copy of HL2.< Its evident that you haven't cared enough to post on forums in the past, so perhaps with clan membership/reputation at stake, you might chime in and 'work' a little to disperse the cloud of 'accusations' that currently surround you. I realize that other FTC2ers vouch for your legitimacy, but that still doesn't necessarily mean that a person is forced to 'turn his hacks to full' at every time, and on every server. Just because a player behaves him/herself on a FT server, does not necessarily mean that the same person won't TK while on another server. Keep in mind that any respectable person can easily decide to google 'hax', download the first program you see, hop on the game to try it out for the first time only to get VAC banned half way through the loading process. I'm not saying this is what happened, I'm just saying that if I pulled something like this and got caught, then I would concede the $$$ and buy another copy. What I was hoping to see in reply to the comments I made was simple.... 1, ONE, UNO, UNE, thread whereby Twitch could say something mildly conherent and semi-convincing. I was hoping to hear how he sent Steam a hundred e-mails asking 'WTF', went to the Steampowered forums to post/read about what to do in such a situation, and after no luck, was then forced to buy another copy. If someone stole my shit, I'd be pissed enough to try to mount an offensive; I wouldn't bend over, waiting to be mounted. Starting 3 threads and essentially saying the same thing; nothing, does not make all that much sense. I was hoping that you would use the VAC thing as a springboard to perhaps post on another thread, in the chatbox, etc. Almost half of your post count is tied up in the 3 threads you started, and each post mimics the one before it. This is how the situation may seem to some... Analogy: A cop pulls you over for speeding. You know you weren't speeding. The cop hands you a $40 ticket. A logical person would fight the ticket in court. Second Analogy: A cop pulls you over for speeding and you know that you WERE in fact speeding. You pay the $40 ticket knowing that you were caught so you can't put up a fight. I was hoping that you would be the person in the first example, however, because you failed to put together a logical response, you may in fact be the person in the second situation. (Legend: COP = VAC, Speeding = Hacking, $40 ticket = copy of HL2.) All I'm saying is actually say something other than 'I am not a Hacker'. Try to show that you would be a contributing member to the community, especially when a membership proposal is in the works. Peace in the Middle East, Cheers to Queers. Jah Bless.
