So it's "semi" up and running. Doctorphate has it up and running, except it's completely stripped with NOTHING on it but defaults... lol. So, since I have TONS of suggestions, I figured I shouldn't just PM them to him; we should share ideas and talk about everything as a group to see if you guys have some suggestions as well. So, here goes: Most important Suggestions: Name for server: "24/7 Fish Tank Office | NO AWP" 24/7 clearly says what we're all about, and when you look for a server, all you really look for what maps are played, and if the awp is restricted. I think this name will be effective for now Round time: I think it's set at something like 5:00. WAYYYY too long. needs to be at something like 3 minutes or LESS. the faster the rounds the better. I say put it at 2:45, 5 seconds to buy shit Team balance: even with whoever was on with us, it didn't get too bad, but it might be a problem. If there is ANY way to get Alcohol Powered's amazing autobalance, that would SERIOUSLY make the server better than all the other office servers. only issue is... we can't get in touch with Wildcard, Kremit, OR Alex.... So if anyone has any ideas... they would greatly be appreciated Money to start with: $5000. Nothing more aggravating then not being able to buy kevlar and an AK, and maybe a nade or Deag. I think $5000 would be okay until we get a good Betting mod going MOTD: We have NOTHING. I remember last time a few people said they were working on a basic one... but I think we should have a good one this time considering I feel like this revival might be for a while, so let's look good out there! Less Important: Office - the map. May sound confusing when I say it like that... but here's why. I have this friend, who has turned Office, into a DE map. and I know what you're thinking, de maps are for try hards and it fucks with the rank system; but here's why I bring it up. Would you guys be willing to do a CS/DE rotation, or either or? The map was only changed in format, it wouldn't take a seperate download. He fucked with it, but didn't change anything but the hostages and bomb map. If you want to see it, I'll have him throw it up on a test server to play with everyone and stress it. Let me know on this... this is a completely seperate idea. Mods: Decisions decisions... #1, my favorite mod out there, is where it tells you how much damage you are doing to people. It's like a pop up message that comes up in the middle of the bottom of the screen, not getting in the way of anything, telling you how much damage you do if you don't kill someone. I never thought I would like it, but so far it's may favorite out there. #2, favorite spray! - this mod just tells you, when you look at a spray on the wall, who put it there, taking out the person having to ask whos awesome spray is on the wall, or if someone posted something worth banning them over. #3, Knife mods. I don't know what you guys want... siphon, mug mod, whatever. Throw ideas out there, I could care less. The only thing I say with the knifing thing is this; there is mod out there when it is 1V1, the two people have an option to VOTE on whether they want to knife fight the enemy. once both vote yes, they are teleported, and their health is reset, and they have 30 seconds to conduct a knife fight, or else they get ripped apart by lightning worthy of raping a 12 year old. Awesome mod, you guys would appreciate it. #4, betting vs. banks. I have never used the bank system, nor do I think it is effective and worth the download time. I think we should just have a betting system,, with a working ratio, say 2:1 bets or even 3:1 bets. and last but not least... the reason we need admins... RULES. What rules should we put in place? I mean...we've come a long way since Fishtank first started... should we just keep the old ones or take some out? CT camping and Racism is really the only ones that need to be enforced. and as for these here forums... I know you guys don't want to admit it, but to keep the server alive, I think we need to recruit again. maybe lower the standards and try and get some community going again so we don' thave to worry about populating the server. Thats it for now, let me know what you guys think and keep posting in this AFTER you have been on the server and thought about what it needs. |

Also, if there IS a way to get a hold of a moderator OR Kremit, can we PLEASE post Angry's and Doctors servers in the top right of the forums where the "active game servers" are supposed to be. We are currently showing some other clans server, because they have our old IPs, lol.... | ||

i'd say keep it pretty close to the old ft, it was fairly simple and it just worked. don't kd and rusty still have the old files or are they gone now? | ||

I like the Mug mod. I'll change the name before the 9pm restart. I'm restarting the server at 8:45 so I can play with it and put in as many of these improvements as I can in the 15 minute window. I'd like to suggest we also add the rule CTs must be NEAR the hosties by 1:30 or slay. This would be a soft rule. If its clear they are camping for no reason you slay or slap. however... if they are fighting Ts and trying to get to the hosties then just warn them. |

Time constraints would be useless if there is already a No CT camping rule. Because with that generalized rule the admin can warn a camping CT then progress to slap/slay. | ||

Ok but with a time/area constraint it would give people an idea of what we expect. Up to you guys though. Btw server has been restarted with the following changes. Name: 24/7 Fish Tank Office | NO AWP Round Time: 3:00 minutes Buy time : 5 Seconds. More changes will require someone to help me with mani admin. Like restricting weapons. |
