Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

A laptop (also known as a notebook) is a personal computer designed for mobile use. A laptop integrates most of the typical components of a desktop computer, including a display, a keyboard, a pointing device (a touchpad, also known as a trackpad, and/or a pointing stick) and speakers into a single unit. A laptop is powered by mains electricity via an AC adapter, and can be used away from an outlet using a rechargeable battery. A laptop battery in new condition typically stores enough energy to run the laptop for three to five hours, depending on the computer usage, configuration and power management settings. When the laptop is plugged into the mains, the battery charges, whether or not the computer is running, with the exception of some laptops. There are more chances that you damage your laptop than a desktop PC and notebooks are more difficult and more expensive to repair. So follow these tips to care for it. 1. Keep the Toshiba laptop battery cool: Avoid heat and use the battery to a minimum. If you use it connected to the wall for a while, shut down or hibernate the laptop, remove the battery and work without it. 2. Be careful with food and drink: If you spill coffee on your keyboard that could cause a short circuit on the motherboard. (I keep my cup of tea as far as possible from the electronics). 3. When working at your desk, connect a monitor, keyboard and mouse: This protects things far more valuable than your Dell laptop battery, your arms, hands and eyes. It is impossible to create an appropriate work environment and ergonomic with a small keyboard connected to a small monitor. 4. When traveling, find the right carrying case and bag the laptop properly: Depending on your preferences, find a carrying case, backpack or bag with a padded section, designed for a laptop. 5. Clean the keyboard the right way: Turn off the PC. Keep it open while upside down and shake gently to the crumbs falling off the keyboard. Then use a can of compressed air, available for a few dollars at any computer store, to blow what’s left behind. (But first read the directions on the can). 6. Clean the Apple laptop battery screen when needed: Start with a dry cloth micro fiber (you can buy at computer stores and photography and also a spray to clean laptop). Scrub using circular movements. Do it gently, but apply a little pressure on the spots. If necessary, make your own cleaning solution by mixing in a bottle of distilled water (make sure it is distilled) and white vinegar in equal portions. Make sure your Sony laptop battery is off. Sprinkle this mixture lightly on the micro fiber cloth, not the monitor. Rub as stated above and wait 10 minutes before turning on the laptop. BTW, in case anyone is interested, I'm a flaming homosexual and I like balls against my face. Edited Tue Jan 18 2011, 09:45AM |
