So I purchased the server last night, and Alex and I worked for a few hours on getting the basics set up. As of right now, there are zero admins and zero plugins. Surprisingly, within five minutes of the server going active, we had two players in there. We both had to laugh for a couple of minutes because that was actually a higher player count than what we could get with our old servers. A bit encouraging but with a bitter aftertaste when I think about how the old revival went. So currently, here is the specs of the server: - It is 24/7 Office, obviously. - It is a 100-tic server, not that that really means anything anymore. - Currently, it is located in New Jersey. I am moving it to Chicago or somewhere in the midwest, though, so the IP will change. That, and the fact that it is not set up yet is why I have not posted the IP address. - It is all generously paid for by me, so don't make me waste my money. - It will be running Sourcemod for admin, but I am not sure if I am going to link it to HLStats as of yet. It would have to be really, really cheap. - Alex will be testing his old cTB plugin with a few minor tweaks assuming it works. Please let me make this clear: Even if this server survives, it will not be Fish Tank's flagship server. We are 100 percent focused on Global Offensive. I cannot stress this enough that this is merely a gateway for our community to get back to where it once was. Right now, I only purchased a month's worth of time. If it gets a steady player rate, I may purchase a few more months, but it will eventually die once GO comes out. As of right now, I am not asking for any of your money. If you really want to donate, I will set up a paypal account and let your money sit in there for the Global Offensive server. One last thing: The server will not be available for the next two days until it is at least 50 percent set up. You can bet your sorry asses I will be up until 2 A.M. getting our shiny new toy working. As for all of you, what you can do for me is list your Steam IDs. Available to help with setup if I'm needed. My epic sysadmin powers still exist. Also, we should set a time/date that we're gonna play, at least to start out. Otherwise I'll never stop playing swtor. |

If we attract new players with this server we can direct them here to this forum... and we can also spam advertisements that we will be migrating to CSGO upon launch. If we could build a small playerbase, it would definitely help with making the startup of a CSGO server go a bit easier. | ||

The server looks steady, Knightrider. I'm dusting off the cTB code now and trying to remember how the fuck this thing works (all 3000 lines of code!)
