Oh I'm so down. I still play zombie escape sometimes on CS:S. Never gets old. So down for Office.
Also 15 years for me. Fuck man we are getting old as shit.
Also, loving Back 4 Blood. Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys coop zombie action. I play on steam. gLiTch handle was retired with FT. You can find me as theRemedy on Steam friends.

Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

I wish bandito wasn't on vacation.... Also waiting for the alarms to stop and my batman movie to start back up. I'll comment more later with my opinions. |

I know how much you guys loved the admin abuse threads made about me but I do not have the same drive that I used to when it comes to gaming in public servers all day. A few of you still have me on steam if you need any favours but that's the extent of my helping capacity |

Yeah I knew this issue would arise soon enough, it was just a matter of when. I'll keep this brief in saying that I was talking to Vector a little about this today and overall, I have alot of shit on plate lately. I have a very, very time-consuming job/career unfolding as well as other things going on in my life that has prevented me from even playing at all. All the while keeping active on forums when I can and appreciating the recognition into 9-5 and FT as people haven't forgotten who I was, and for that I show the upmost gratitude. But, I do want to see the success of FT as I forsee a nearby future unfolding where I can actively participate fully, and do some things like start a real competitive CS:GO like the "B teamz/A teams" in the past. All in all I support Glitch fully if he is willling to bear the weight of the future of Ft and will assist in anyway I can. |

alcosatz wrote ... As far as what we're trying to create now: how are admin policies determined? What does it take to get a hacker banned? How long can CTs camp, and where? There are historical answers to these questions if you dig back far enough in the FT Classic forums, but someone needs to figure out if that information is still relevant. Someone also needs to figure out what new policies are needed--I certainly don't think the old FT Classic had everything figured out. I feel like you, Goose, Omni, Omega, and even Fetus did a fantastic job on FT classic. and these policies were always being continually updated as more people came into play the the game progressed. Honestly, I don't see why we couldn't adopt alot of those policies as a model or skeleton of a set of new policies going forward. Edited Fri Jul 27 2012, 11:18AM |

I try to be as unbiased as possible when making judgements, which I think we need more of. Not to blast anyone, but if this server really picks up like I think it will we are going to need more active admins. Right now it isn't a huge deal because the server isn't populated constantly yet. I think the problem will come when the server is populated at 2 or 3 in the afternoon and they need an admin. As far as you two being ops, I think you are doing a kick ass job at it despite having less time than is usually needed to perform these tasks. Keep it up is all I have to say for you badass mother fuckers. I'd like to hear what you guys have to say about a more active admin team. Lastly, I agree that we will need to start figuring out the small details (very soon). I'm pretty sure we don't even have a motd which troubles me a little. We also need to decide the other small details like Alex said; camping, banning, procedures, etc. I'd like to hear what others have to say about this kind of thing. You're missing the point of this thread a little. We are looking for someone to fill this leadership. Those active admins you're looking for? We're looking for someone to do that job. The point we're trying to make is we don't want people 'waiting for what we have to say.' We're not role models for this. The MOTD is on our to-do list, and we'll cross that bridge down the road, but it is far from the point of this thread. Not to sound like an ass, but how am i missing the point? Looking for opinions does not mean I'm not up to it. I was only showing my concern for certain issues that I have noticed. TL:DR: To make it very straightforward, I am willing to fill an administrative position. |

TL:DR: To make it very straightforward, I am willing to fill an administrative position. I understand that, but this isn't the thread for those issues, this is an issue as to whom is going to take accountability for things we do not want to handle, such as appointing administrators, reviewing demos, raising money, and dealing with issues as they happen because they're going to happen inevitably. I hope that I'm making my point clear that this thread is looking for ANY person willing to take up that responsibility. This isn't a "who wants admin!?" thread, because quite frankly, when we all ask for admin, it becomes a 'dick measuring contest' per Alex's quoted material from a conversation between him and I, and quite frankly, that's not what this is about. This is about someone fitting in some heavily weighted shoes. Nostie, you bring up a great idea about having a few people with different images, I like the direction you're heading with that. The only problem is, about 2 out of 3 of those, I haven't got a Goddamn clue as to who would fit the bill for those. Edited Fri Jul 27 2012, 04:26AM |

I think Glitch fits the role of "Face" and he seems to be open to the idea of fulfilling that role and the reception, I have no doubt, would be very good in that regard. Unfortunately, that isn't the role that does much for the servers... It's more of a PR position. As for the tech-savvy people, I know that Alex has traditionally filled that role. Would he be willing to do that again, just putting less hours into it? If not, I would tell you to ask Amped if he'd be interested in helping out at all. I know he's doing a lot of work on the Surf server and I'm not sure how much more he'd be willing to do (or if he cares too much about office in the first place), but he at least knows what he's doing. Other candidates: Rusty (he's on surf, though, as I said), Myself, Peace? As for the Decision-Maker... This has to be someone who everyone trusts to make the right decision, or at least respects them enough to follow the decision whether or not they agree with it. This is the position that, if I've read everything correctly, you and Alex don't want to take because it is the position which takes the most heat and involves the most drama. I imagine that if he'd like to, Glitch could take at least part of the idea of this and make it work, but that might interfere with everyone getting along with him. I don't think people respect me enough to have me fulfill the role. I think I'm out of ideas on this one unless (like I said on the previous position) Rusty wants to step in. |
