I know some servers give all players kevlar and helmet at the start of every round giving them enough money to buy some guns. I also noticed some other servers increase the money bonus percentage for kills. Something worth looking into. | ||

Actually I do have a few questions about sourcemod: Is the admin team staying intact as it currently is? Are commands going to be the same as in mani? Have people been granted admin - I have tried but do not know if I'm accessing sourcemod correctly? | ||

I believe Classic/Casual servers give out full kevlar by default and they nerf FF damage, among other things. We are using Classic/Competitive mode for now. There are a lot of ways to tweak how money is handed out. I'm not sure that I care at this point, but if you want to evaluate what the options are then by all means... b4ndito wrote ... I think the plan is to take all of the Mani admins on the Source server and make them SM admins on the GO server. I guess I better get started on that. |

You can hop between teams when you're in spectator mode, but when you're actually playing on a team then you're limited to spec'ing only teammates. That's not very useful. GO has made it difficult to change some of this type of behavior, and I'm not even sure if it's possible to emulate the same type of camera behavior that works in Source. If you know something that I don't... please let me know. |

Yep, I was thinking it would be an obscure CVAR so I decided to compare everything in gamemodes.txt to see what the differences are. I think I figured it out! The casual section in gamemodes.txt has a setting that mentioned "SFUI_SpectateAnyone" while the competitive section is set to "#SFUI_SpectateTeamOnly". I'm trying to override this setting in gamemodes_server.txt, and we'll see if it works when the server gets patched and restarted this afternoon. |
