cTB served its role very well when we ran a Source server and we had no round/time limit on FT Classic. Now that the classic/casual mode seems to be working at 15 rounds, I see no reason to keep cTB, and I see no reason to deal with the confusion that often comes with players being switched. It's a little depressing for me to realize that I no longer want to support cTB and, more importantly, that it doesn't satisfy the same purpose that it did before. Melancholy BS aside, this change is consistent with the lighter, less stressful FT Classic that we are trying to create. Matches go very quickly when it's only 15 rounds max and I'm sure team balance will be less of an issue than it was in the past. I appreciate all of the support that was given over the years--I know that lots of people bit their tongues and went along with my idea of how team balance should work. Thank you! |

I'll keep an eye on how things run for the next week+. You may be right, but I'm still mildly concerned about team balance (not necessarily money, though). Good lookin' out. |
