Alright, performance on FTC is getting pretty bad. ReconGamer, the current host, is completely unresponsive to support requests. I've checked around and seem to have found a decent new host. The IP/port of the test server is: 208.100.26.59:27015 Please keep in mind THIS IS A TEST SERVER. DO NOT TELL EVERYONE THAT FTC HAS MOVED HERE PERMANENTLY...yet. You will cause all sorts of trouble if this new host doesn't work out, and people remove the old FTC IP/port from their favorites. So please, please, please tell people that we are only in the initial stages of testing at the time of this post. I believe I have gotten mani (and admins), eventscripts, etc. moved over. The MOTD is still stock right now and I'll update that later. Things like mani ranks, etc. are not of great concern to me right now, but feel free to comment on things you notice that need to be fixed in the event that we migrate FTC to this new host. We need to do "stress testing" of the server and see how it runs at 20 slots full. I may try to organize this next week or weekend, or, if someone would like to organize it as a favor to me I would greatly appreciate it. Also, the test box is located in Chicago. FTC has previously been on two servers in Virginia (Richmond and Alexandria), but my ping is still pretty decent -- around 45-55, so hopefully most everyone else will have decent pings as well. |

What iv played of the 100 tic office, and also that demo server (de train). It is pretty fine my ping has considerably dropped so from my old bad uk ping at 140+, it has hit a relatively stable 100 ish It would be good if this works out for teh best, if it does....good find. |

Did the migration already start? I just added the IP via desktop Steam and noticed 15/20 peeps are playing on it. (7:15pm) I'm about to hop on now. In the name it says 100tick?! | ||

In my CS experience, I've found that servers in Chicago generally have the best ping (I'm located on the north east coast oddly enough). Most of my favorite servers are located in chicago too (coinsidence? I think not). Edited Sun Sep 17 2006, 12:05AM | ||

Goose, a few times today we've done "ma_cexec #ALL connect 208.100.26.59:27015". It was Narf's idea first, and I did it one time today as well. We're trying not to do it too often as you get a lot of "WTF just happened?" from people who get switched. Yep, it's rolling at 100 tic! I haven't heard any complains yet.  Thanks again to all the people who have helped us test so far!
