I like this server better because when i die, it isn't BULLSHIT.  <3 alex.. On another note, if all goes well, surf will be moving to this host too. But lets not get our panties in a bunch, this could all go downhill still ;D lol.. |

Yeah, like Narf said. This server is still in the test phase and there are still a few bugs to work out (as is expected.) Lets give it some more time and we will see what happens.

I think moving the server to a Chicago host is a good idea. Some people may get higher pings but I think the majority will have lower pings. The new location if all goes well should attract new people to the server since I assume most people like myself sort their servers by latency. With the server in a more centralized location like Chicago the server should appear at the top of more peoples' server list. My personal expreience with the server last night was great. My ping hovered around 18-20. At the time I played it was only 3 vs 3 so I cannot comment on how it will be when the server is full, but as long as performance is not impacted too much when full the new server should work out great. |

We need to do some more testing tonight. I'll do a few transplants of all players from current FTC to the new server tonight and see how it runs. | ||

The testing went very well tonight. We got a few hours (at least at the time of this post) in and everything appeared to work well. I did drop the ticrate down to 66 because narf mentioned some sluggishness over the weekend. 66 tic looks solid at this point. Thanks again to all the peeps who showed up, especially the FT members.

We had a good run from around 11:30 - 1am as well. Looked good and ran smooth with no lag adn it felt like less choke as well. Lots of new faces too. Reaching a new market is pretty cool. Lets see if we can run a few more tests and such later on in the week.
