Recently whever I been on there seems to be a real problem with CT camping. I see admins make idel threats and never follow through. Also some admins (not mencouning names) decide that these rules only apply when it is convient and even break them theirself. I dont mean that they over stay a few secounds. I mean that we have rounds where the CT loss by timing out something that shouldnt happen. I think that we need peopel to ether start enforcing it or jsut get rid of it becouse as it is it might as well not be there. | ||

Well ninja normally when i play, the t's have a pretty good hold on hallway, or garage. If thats the case who's to say they can't defend and wait for safer entry. Theres a HUGE difference in camping, and knowing the enemy is somewhere, and waiting for them. What i see as camping is a player sitting in 1 spot not moving and not actually engaged with an enemy. Like so douche hiding in the boxes at ct spawn. Or Behind dumpster, or sit at snowman or the front breeseway in the garage. For more than 20-30ish second. There are alot of people playing, and alot of bullets flying, and people dying, so there will be some "campage" And we allow it.. To an extent. If your so mad at them camping go find them and kill em instead of hiding in spawn. *shrug* | ||

I almost never hide in spawn and I am not just mad as a Terrorist I mean as a counter terrorist I am pissed off that my entire team sits behind watchign me die becouse they think they hsould camp. If they rushed they would win more often probly then if they just sit around and wait for victory to come to them. There is no reason half way into the round that there hsould be any counter terrorist in the spawn unless they are turning in the hostages. | ||

Or just wait for Omni to roll through, give all the CT's 140 hp, $16k and strip the T's of all their cash... lol Then there'll be no need to camp. | ||

What is really sad, is that i have seen omni among others do that....and the ct's still lose...that is just sad. the other thing having to do with camping t's. i see ft usually stick together, and ft is usually the best players on. I'm not saying they always win, but i tend to see they do. It may be better ft is divided among the teams. that or no hacks  . jp guys

I see nothing wong with him giving cash and helth and deviding p the ft to even teams that is all cool but they shouldnt be camping. Of course they could always rush in and cetch the T off gard like I do all the time in fact I can useally make it alone all the way to the the end of long hall. becouse they are all getting set up and I shoot them while they are unprepared. "speed is the essence of war stricke the enemy hard where he has taken no precaution" (wallis B Bingomtin) I think that the peopel have gone soft on CT withotu the rule being enforced and that we need to harden them up. (personally I wouldnt do the cash or helth ether make them suck it up and get some skill insteed of whinning how they dont ahve their favorite gun) | ||

Thanks for reminding admin's that they should continue to enforce this rule. This rule is usually very low on my list of priorities when playing (I place a much higher focus on voice/chat spam and team balance), but if CT spawn camping happens too often it can really get people complaining. This is the rule posted in the MOTD: Non-Objective Spawn camping: Staying anywhere near spawn with no intention of completing your team objective. If you are a CT on a hostage map or a T on a bomb map then you may be punished for staying at or near spawn for more than 20 seconds. Many people have adapted this to "Non-Objective camping" instead of "Non-Objective SPAWN camping." By this, I mean that some admins think if a CT is anywhere they don't want them to be and 20 seconds have passed since round start then the CT is to be punished. I think some admins take too much liberty when enforcing this rule. Trust me, I frequently tell CT's over admin say, "hurry up ct's..." because other players, even dead CT's start to complain when there is that one CT who just enters front office 90 seconds into the round. Yes, chances are he could haul ass, non-stop, and rescue hostages but I'm willing to bet he will not -- especially not when he's timed-out a few times in the recent past. Pocky, my suggestion for you is that you should be more constructively critical. You should know that saying other admin's "never follow through" and that we should "start enforcing" implies you believe no one at all is handling this issue. This is simply not true. If you see other admin's that are engaging in this type of behavior then address that issue with the person(s) involved. Posting a "I'm not going to mention names, but you guys aren't doing your jobs..." sort of message doesn't help much. Also, I think we need to make sure everyone is on the same page concerning what "at or near spawn" means. Perhaps we should come up with a more definite, general non-objective camping rule as well? |

I am implying they dont ever follow though beocuse I have yet to seen most admins enforce it at all otehr then on occation when complains get particularly lound and already half of the people have gone to voteban him for camping (becouse you cant kick peopel with admisn on another issue that needs to be touched on I think) They might remind them but I havent seen them acule slay. Only perosn I seen at all enforce this rule is steel and you for that I thank you 2. I am meaning to imply that there is a particular lacking it is almst as if it dosent apply at all the way most admisn are working. The admin I didnt want to say's name has come up several times in this post Omni which is the one that pissed me off enough to make this thread. He timed out by sitting a impressive 2 and a half minets in spawn and then walked slowlyinto office not shooting or getting shoot at by anyone. Wasting the whole round. He also in the same match I asked him to start doign it though he refused and eventully moved me over to the otehr side (which I had no problems) but left me teleported in T base and said "You want me to start enforcing the rules well ok" so I thoguth I was a T and got slayed for TKing what I thoguth was the enemy. This issue has come up with not jsut omni he jsut gave it the right push. I dont like reporting specific peoepl and I didnt see a need since it is a wider issue then just him. Since you requested it I added his name. He knew who he was. As for the rule I dont see anything wrong with the current rule. I am not saying they have to be booking it like me and run as fast as you can I am just saying that they shouldnt be sitting around all round makign everyone dead wait on them to die. Also it dosent reallt help the CT any most the time it jsut helps the T fortify their postions. |

Pocky, my suggestion was that you take it up with other admins privately, not drop names on forums and try to embarass them in front of their peers. Instead of trying to "report" admins you should try to help them. | ||

Or just wait for Omni to roll through, give all the CT's 140 hp, $16k and strip the T's of all their cash... lol Then there'll be no need to camp. you seem to have a slanted story. there are several points. 1.) none of these were all done in the same round 2,)they are all in the MOTD. btw, have you read it? 3.)i change the Terrorists' cash to zero once. it is not the traditional way to manage teams but it was worth a try. why? office is all about momentum. if your team doesn't take enough ground and condense the area the Enemy occupies then you greatly reduce your chance of winning. after giving the terrorists zero dollars and we won (barely) i did not do it again. and pocky, the reason i was allowing CTs to camp was because the Terrorist team consisted of 9 assholes all with positive ratios sucking up 3kills a round; while the CTs barely got 3, and that would be considered a good round. a general rule that several of the admins go by is that if Ts is stacked they will go easy on the camping rule. it is obvious if the ct is camping in a useless place making no effort to engage the enemy (ex. snowman/a corner in front wing). a lot of the time it was a 5 or 6 V 1 for the CT. it is his choice if he wants to rush 5/6 waiting terrorist that pre-aim the entrances. or he can take it slower and se of any try to peak out. i could go on but i have made my point. oh, btw, i would love to talk to you about this in private.
