The good news is that things are returning to normal. I've held off on a few changes like putting EventScripts back, but this upcoming week should see FTC back to normal. FTC hasn't crashed in over a week (last time was 12/2) and it was crashing frequently for less than two weeks (11/18 through 11/29) -- not a month. I certainly considered switching as a last resort, but our last move was just under three months ago. Also consider that client redirection via mani does not work after Valve decided clients should prevent server-issued client commands by default. This makes migrating much less effective and could be disastrous. I'm not really sure why things are working now. I've kept a detailed list (much more detailed than what I have included in previous posts here) of everything that I have changed since 11/30 and I'm almost at the end of the list. This leads me to believe our GSP did fix a problem on their end and conveniently forgot to let me know. yeah that crahs thing was insane! i didnt know wat to do with myself for those two weeks lol. and i had just made it into the top 10 the day before the crashing started lol. But things are very well now, (dont wanna jynx it) and the server is running great. The ranks and statsme and scripts and shit like that are working all well. Just wanted to give yall a headsup if ya didnt know. And alex, i believe i was int he server with you tonight so u know things are working well. |
