Got some haxor on FTC today. STEAM_0:0:1405770 Looked like wall haxs and aimbot. I gave him a 1 hour ban, all i can do with lvl 1 so if yall want add him to the perm ban list. About 10 mins after that another came in. STEAM_0:1:13479178 07:26 155 different id but wall hacks and aim bot, i guess it was the same guy with a different account. Edited Wed Jan 03 2007, 11:08PM |

nah it wasnt the same guy. i was talking to havok about it in the 10 mins afterwards. but i dont have aimbot, and my wallhacks come from my sexy new headphones i bought yesterday. | ||

Wall hacks and aim bot are the hardest to prove. Please do not ever ban on those grounds without making, and posting, a demo. We may have just lost a potential regular because he was playing "too well" for the server. It seems that many admins are becoming ban happy. Bans should the a last resort option...not a first. Fetus I dont agree I feel that all admins should be able to ban. Some hacks are far more noticable like speed hacks and are easly able to desterb the game. If there is no igher then lvl 1 admins on they have to take care of it some how if they cant reach a higher lvl admin. I have found form back when I didnt have admin that it can be quite hard to reach one if there arent any on, | ||

Maybe I should have rephrased it to read "Less experienced admins should not have the ability to ban as they tend to jump the gun." Hence forth, I think we should have to make demos and post them in order to ban for hacking. Bans for hacking are so subjective. What someone may consider an obvious hack, I may call getting lucky. I have gotten five head shots in one round before and was accused of hacking. I know the Office map so well, I could draw it in my sleep. I know where people hide. I wear head phones and have the volume turned way up. I can hear the window in front hall break when I am in side hall. I have been accused of wall hacking. We also need to get it out of our heads that anyone with a great score is hacking. Just because someone goes 45-11, doesn't mean he or she hacks (Bowser). If I remember correctly, my best ratio was something like 25-3 (of course I ended up with a negative ratio by the end of the night). Edited Thu Jan 04 2007, 04:59PM |
