Oh I'm so down. I still play zombie escape sometimes on CS:S. Never gets old. So down for Office.

Also 15 years for me. Fuck man we are getting old as shit.

 Recently this server has been lagging for me and now today the ping is too high for me to even play. And it's only this server and no other ones.

Pinging 208.100.26.59 with 32 bytes of data:

 This happend to me the other day. It allowed me to play, it just made my ping go from 90 to 140 with 0 choke and nothing else. All i can say is maybe just wait a day and just see.

 It's restarted every morning at 7 AM. Restarting is rarely the answer. If higher than usual latency is only happening to you or you and a few other people it's probably an issue with one of the uplinks to the GSP's data center where the physical server that hosts FTC is located. If the SRCDS process on that server is having trouble and needs restarted it will not selectively cause problems for one or a few clients.

You may consider doing a traceroute to FTC:

One thing to keep in mind is that most ISP/GSP/xSP's deprioritize ICMP traffic in favor of useful data, so a trace or a ping may not accurately show round-trip-time. If, however, everyone is seeing latency and/or choke problems then it is most likely a problem with the physical hosting server or the SRCDS process hosting FTC's particular CS:S instance.

 The tenth hop in your trace (208.174.225.202) has a high RTT. If all traffic is truly congested at that point then anything BEYOND that hop will have latency, which is why the server itself shows a high RTT for you.

My ping to the server is around 70ms which is typical for me. As I have already stated, the server itself is fine. One of many paths to the data center where the server is hosted has congestion and there is nothing I can directly do about it. If lots of people connect to FTC through that router and are also experiencing congestion getting to the server then I can open a ticket with FTC's GSP and ask them to get with Savvis (208.174.225.202).

 Well actually this morning I could play again. But it seemed like the server was having some lag issues with other people too.

But for now I guess I'm alright.
