Groovy. How would a regular go about joining? Would there be an introductions forum so that prospective members would have a place to make their intentions known? If so, then a post quota of 1 would be in order.  If not, then would someone just ask a current member to nominate them while ingame? 300 hours sounds pretty decent.aborted fetus wrote ... I've spent some time thinking about this and I spoke with Jigg so I want to present two different sides of thought. 1st - FT clan would be the "parent" clan. If we create "sub" clans such as F7L5 then each of the servers will have a separate clan. Voting for those potential members will be done by the separate clan members. In other words, there would be a separate clan for office, surf, and dust2. Members of the individual clans could then apply to be in the overall FT clan community. The requirements might need to be tweaked or we could keep them and then in theory members of the other two clans could get to know people in the 3rd clan through the forums. Much in the same way that office or surf people do now. 2nd - There could be a claim made that the office map is the foundation of the community and therefore should be deserving of the FT tag. The surf clan, dust2 clan, and possibly assault clan would be sub clans underneath the FT clan which is comprised of office goers. Just something to consider. My opinion is that we go with option # 1 which is what Fetus said. I believe that office, surf, dust2, and possibly assault clans all fall under the FT tag. #1 - I'm not creative either in regards to a new clan name but the FTc tag is used for the competitive team. Jigg and I had also discussed using the nofear tag for the dust2 server. Therefore, I hope we have some creative people here to think up a new tag name. #2 - I agree with Drunk that it should only constitute active admins and only if those admins want to be accepted. #3 - I agree with 300 hours. #4 - The voting system is efficient as it is. We can change it if a situation comes up that none of us have encountered. #5 - Agreed. All members are even. #6 - Agreed. Tag goes on the end of the name. #7 - Agreed. Like I said before, members should be able to join the office clan in the same way that you can join the surf clan without having to be a member of FT prior to admission in the sub clan. #8 - Agreed. Everyone should be allowed to be a member. We should not restrict those potential members simply because they are mainly surf players or dust players. People seem to find the time to play on multiple servers all the time so we shouldn't restrict. With that said, if a member is in multiple clans within the FT community and doesn't want to have a ridiculously long name like Jigg then they should wear that clans tag while they are on that server. Example: When you surf you wear the F7L5 tag but since you are also in the office clan you would wear the office clan tag on the office server. |

Well, FTC certainly does have much higher daily connection rates, but I’m not sure if we should view FTC as the cornerstone of all that is. I think that each server-specific clan (FTC, dust, assault etc.) should be its own separate entity and that there should not be any hierarchy to rank servers or clans. |
