Okay, tonight was my last straw. I had played the CT side all night and this is what I witnessed and had to deal with. 24/70 rounds that I was on CT was won. Now this states a huge issue on team balancing. The health did not even help us win because it was that bad. Nor did the cash every three rounds. No matter what weapon our team bought everyone was still just as shitty. The reason I'm bringing this up is because I still don't think that this mod helps out any. It doesn't help skillwise at all. I asked almost every 5 rounds for someone to come and help the CTs out and one person came over the whole night. And even then, we still got our asses whooped on. I tried to manually swap people myself, and even then, I still found us losing. It was so frustrating that after a while I couldn't even breathe right from anger. Something has to be done about the team balance issue. Every night I see the T's have at least 140 more wins then the CT's do. This is a problematic issue. Office is more of a T map imo, and I find that all of the higher skilled people tend to go to the T side. What I am suggesting is that more skilled players be swapped to the CT side daily, to stop the horrible balancing issue. Camping is still an issue no matter how much the rule is enforced, so I'm proposing that admins be required to be more strict. I usually warn 3 times, but I think it should be after the first warning. It's getting out of hand and no matter how harsh of an admin that I am nothing seems to help. I wish there was a good suggestion to help with this problem. I know it's just a game but it's not even fun anymore. Edited Wed Mar 14 2007, 06:04AM |

I was there, and your right.....even though u tried to switch ppl, you still lost alot. I saw alot of team attacking dont know if that had somthing to do with it. However i dont know how you would be able to fix it, i thought the cash and xtra health was a good try. just wish i knew some magical solution for ya. | ||

there should be a mod that if you lose 10 times in a row it automatically forces the other team to knife you. although that probably wouldnt go so well. | ||

I understand where you're coming from Night, CT's have somewhat of a disadvantage trying to rush into the building...especially when they cluster up because they're too afraid to peek around the corner. But think about it like this, when most of our FT guys come on the server they travel in packs. When the teams are unbalanced, one of the higher admins or older regs will switch and probably 60% of the time EVERYONE will switch teams....it doesn't fix the stacking, rather just changes which team is stacked now. When you ask for more skilled players to constantly play CT, won't it just swap the stacking team? The map strategy can be seen in a ct perspective that 2 CT's can completely cover long in any situation as long as they have balls, if the CT team splits and actually rushes garage instead of waiting on the dumpsters the game now becomes a 50/50 situation for both T and CT. It all comes down to luck and invididual skill. I'm surprised you let it get that bad to begin with Night. I mean nothing against you or anything, its just that if the server gets that stacked why not just keep sending everyone to specs all at once? Newer players or players with 'less' skill will quickly join the team that was stacked and people will be forced to change. When you say you manually swapped players did you just swap random people, the players with the highest score, or what? Certain players have certain strategies that they fall upon over and over again which proves to be effective. Myself for example, if the teams are stacked towards the CT by some unholy chance, and i get switched over to T, long hall becomes 80% easier to defend. The same goes with certain T players...my nemesis Mr. Blonde for example. You swap him away from T and side hall is no longer threatened by his shotty. I dunno, thats my 2cents...i know its hard to play with stacked teams. Its hard enough in the afternoon when we're running with 18 players so it has to be worse later at night with a full house. Other than hand-picking which players to swap and forcing people to grow balls or move out of the way, theres not much more we can do. |

I know Im mostly seen playing on Terrorist side, and not that Im a higher skilled player or anything but you can switch me to CT from now on if needed or Ill try and play on CT more cause I know what you mean, the reason I dont like CT as much is mainly cause its hard to get a hold of an AK 47 and I hate m4. But sometimes it is stacked on the CT side its just ironic that that rarely happenes when you are in the server Night, it seems when you come in, its the worse time for T stacked team, and theres been times when Im CT and no one on CT including me has a positive KDR, so I know how frustrating it is. | ||

pffft, if i was there we'd be having 10 round streaks  but of course, its like every map, in bomb maps the CTs have the upperhand, in hostage maps the Ts have the advantage. but i agree that most skilled players are on Ts and we should at least convince SOME to play CT more. |

When I join when the server has many people, I usually hit spec and ask which team to join, or wait until the end to see which team loses. At any point I see the teams are unstacked, I don't make the switch by myself usually, it is either auto because a few opponents quit or the admin, but also I volunteer to the admins to switch me over at any time. If you haven't seen me volunteer myself, then I will tell you now. I don't mind how many times you switch me, or even if you switch me every 6 rounds, whatever gets the job done. I also see that when I am in the server with Kever we are on opposite teams, but if one of us get auto-switched to each others team, she usually leaves to balance it out. I wasn't on last night, but as a non-admin player I will do my best to help out by switching by myself, or playing CT more.(If they are losing, of course, which is usually the case in late night games) *EDITED*--> forgot to write kever's name ..

I didn't let them get that bad and I had stated that I had tried swapping many players to try and help the stacked team but nothing would help at all. No matter what, I would swap someone, and then someone would join the game right away and just restack the T's all over again. I had asked many players if they would be so kind to come to CT and stop being on the stacked team but there were no volunteers. I don't even know why half my teammates even stayed with me and played the game because we would lose 7 straight rounds, win 1 or 2, and repeat the same process over and over again. When I said that the CTs get the skilled players, I meant more often since they tend to lose alot. Even though Office is a T map, I still find all of the skilled players going to T making it even harder for the CTs to even have a chance. The less skilled players sometimes camp because they are not as experianced as the other players are and see it as a last resort. This in turn fails and just pisses off the admins. When I said the players that I swapped, I usually swap the player with the highest kdr with a substancial amount of kills. Most of the time, this works but only temporarily. Thanks for the volunteering Jesus, it's hard to find a good player that offers to switch himself between teams. I can say the same thing about Kever too because she always recommends to switch herself over as well. Once I seen Kever on the losing team, and no matter what valient effort she had put in the team still failed to win. Of course, Kever was on CT, which is furthermore proving my point of the bad issue that is going on in FTC. I have a feeling that some players have already accepted to go T as soon as they join the server because they know it's going to be the winning team. I have no other ways to fix the issue, just swap alot of players on CT side with shitty players so the CTs have a chance. Eventually, the T's will rebound soon enough, but I'm recommending to do swapping alot. |

I hear your frustration Night. I am not a fan of CT at all for the same reasons that coldsteel was. I constantly get team flashed, team attacked, team naded, team blocked, etc... I was playing with Alex on the other night and after about 2 hours of the CT side I lost my mind and couldn't take it. I had to switch to the T side as soon as there was an opening. I guess I like the freedom of being able to move without having some asshat do something stupid to you. I can handle CT when we get a few good players and we get a solid rush going. I know that Fetus, Alex, and I were on like two weeks ago one night and we had a solid rush going down long hall. Not in Cha style but it worked out really well and we were definitely winning rounds. I also recall that the next night I joined the T team and we lost probably about 25-35 rounds in a row to the CT team. They just had a solid rush coming from both sides with no way to stop it. No matter how much we camped. Too many people through the doorways at one time that we couldn't take everyone out. It may be a T favored map but if the CT's get teamwork going then it becomes a CT favored map. I think Alex's script works well with the extra health. I don't really see what else can be done besides force switching players but everytime I do that new players come in and throw everything back uneven. I have noticed it tends to even itself out after 2 or 3 rounds and then I start switching if it hasn't. |
