THis is probally a stupid question but i saw that message all the time and still see it where it says that the stats will be reset on 1/26/06 i believe it is. why is the date out of date? Also just curious what stats did that reset? | ||

we try reset the MANI admin stats every two months-and we are over due. the Pstats and HLstatsX are yearly and are saved as records. |

The advert on FTC reads: "Mani 'statsme' reset on 1/26/2007!" not "stats will be reset on 1/26/06" As Omni said, they are typically reset every two months but we're going on three now. I was aware when the two month window passed and held off resetting them for a personal reason that I'd rather not discuss. That personal reason is no longer an issue and this seems like a good time to schedule a reset. The reason we put an advert (as well as a note on the MOTD) is to discourage the persistent comments like "WTF this server is gay, no more stats" when stats whores show up and realize their 10000 kills have been reset. Not everyone who follows his or her stats closely says anything similar, but my experience over nearly two years of running FT Classic indicates that many people feel as if we've dealt them a personal insult if stats are reset. We try to keep the mani statsme/rank/session-related stats somewhat competitive by resetting them every few months. As Omni also said, Psychostats and HLstatsX are recorded mostly for historical records. FTC's HlstatsX site is a good measure of short term activity, recent TK's, chat history, event history, etc. FT Classic has Psychostats for 2005, 2006, and 2007, and these are typically used to calculate "all time" stats such as hours, kills, KDR, etc. Does that clear things up, Mikey? |

ahh i see i actually never realized that it said mani stats but now that you say that i kinda do think i remember it but oh well. Thanks for explaining that and everything for me. | ||
