My history with FTC isn't too long. Started in September/October (somewhere when I started failing all my classes xD). And still currently playing in FTC. A while back the rounds on FTC went fine, everyone was happy, it was fun. We had no 'losing 3/5 rounds in a row' handicaps or stuff like that. But that wasn't needed because there was usually never a team that would win even 6 or more rounds (not that I remember) in a row. And if something like that did happen, well the admins would take care of it. But now, times have changed, everything changes, instead of having a fun night on FTC. I feel like I get more frustrated playing on the server, I know a couple people that get frustrated at times too. Well, why is this the case? I feel like on FTC, teams are rarely balanced anymore, or at least not balanced enough to have fun. Usually, a majority of the people that play switch over to T as soon as they get the chance. And they eventually all [majority] of the regs end up on T while some newbs are on CT. When T doesn't have the advantage of experienced players, CT does and rapes T round after round after round. Who else feels that way sometimes? Like teams are just constantly winning 6-7, even 10 rounds in a row, feeling it's perfectly fine because the handicap system will supply money, AND a whopping 25 extra hp, like it helps a lot. Also, I'm not saying all of this because I'm tired of getting raped. Even unfortunately, I usually fall into the team that's getting raped. -.- Heres an example of what happened today around 8-9ish? Well I was on CT and I had the intentions of trying to scout like the almighty goose. But eventually T's rushed round after round after round so hard, that we lost garage every round. And everyone would keep getting flanked at front. Our response? Well we were stuck because we couldn't take them out and eventually most of the team was pinned down in garage. And some T's would rush at us from front. And when we killed them, the would complain to us about camping. What is the response to this situation? What are the CT's supposed to do in that situation? Have everyone rush in with a cocked nade and become suicide bombers? I'm just trying to say, I think more focus should be put on the teams. What do you guys think? |

Only pussies camp with a scout. Do you see goose or horsecock camping in the back all the time? fuck no, they're right there rushing halls with me. The answer is to create an offensive push...the best offense is a defense =P I don't care about the hack drama or what not, frankly its in the past but you do realize when it will almost ALWAYS be unbalanced unless players of kever/jeebus/horsecock's caliber come on in pairs. them.....high end players that will basically stack a team unless theres another one to counter. Hence my constant switching from T to CT to T to CT.. but if nobody will switch with me then im stuck on the team. And I was on CT with canoe last night and we were still losing. Then we won two rounds in a row and all the Ts quit. Yay. | ||

Yeah sometimes I feel like when the T's win nobody wants to switch over because they are having so much fun winning for 12 rounds. Worst I've seen it get to was 16 straight wins for the T's. I wish people would volunteer more to switch teams so that wouldn't happen, but there's only a small minority and thus, a problem. More admins need to utilize the teamswap ability. | ||

Yeah alot of people get mad about unbalanced teams. When ever im caught in one of these situations, when i get caught up on the stacked team, i always offer to switch or have someone switch, but it usually doesnt happen. Either people say ?No? or i have to wait 25 rounds until i can join the team constantly losing. =p | ||

I have seen it get to T's have won 19, but also, sometimes the team are actually alright. Like sometimes T's loose like 10 rounds in a row, that is b/c they are camping. People complain when that happens. Usually the round that they rush they either win or almost win. Also, when CT's loose a bunch of rounds, if everyone went one way it might help. If everyone went back and just rushed right into storage and got T's off gaurd, they might win. People need to just work as a team when they are on either team. It is not necessarily the score of the people, just the teamwork. The skill of the person does matter, but it is not 1 person that wins it all. |

all the blame is not because of stacked teams but also constant T spawn/storage/proj camping. yes it is a viable strategy but it gets boring for the Cts to continally run into little rooms with the Ts pre-aiming at the door. the camping even allows lesser skilled players buffer their score and rack up kills. switch it up, i remember the time of dynamic office play where each round was different, sometimes the Ts would(, as a team, rush back and send several "crafty" Ts (one possible Wu) front to hold the remaining Cts down while the bulk of the team would flank them. next round the CTs would wisen up and it would be a totally different game, even if the Ts did the same thing!!  on a more positive side i will talk to other admins about the stacked theams and [unwillingness] to fix it. thank you all for the concern. |

I was there canoe. and as a team stack hater, I automatically go CT, even if they are winning or not, becuase I KNOW that T's will come back, or will just keep stomping the CT's. I know from the past that even if the teams are already stacked, sometimes people join and just go T, becuase thats all they know. but for me, you will almost always see me go CT, unless I do "Auto-Select" Is it a problem: Yes Easily Managable: No Admins constantly fight stacking problems and all other problems. For us noobs, who normally never get a fighting chance, sometimes we just gotta wait on it, and hope that some day asshole stackers will get some decency and realize the game isnt fun if you are always winning. |

yea I have definitely found the same things that everybody is saying I find that the Ts pretty much always camp and even if somebody does call a rush hardly anybody follows and so one or two people who do rush get massacred. Also a lot of the times the CTs do not work as a team at all they all go off on their own and run into already made ambush positions and get picked off in ones or twos quickly and then sometimes when the CTs actually get organized and all go the same way then they somehow get completely run through by the Ts because everybody just gets in a bunch or they team flash or something and it is a giant cluster fuck which annoys the hell out of me. As somebody mentioned about admins utilizing the swapteam function if nobody is willing to switch on their own I know that I myself use it when I notice that teams are mismatched but I also notice a lot of the time that when I do switch people they either leave immediately or pretty much so or they wait a couple rounds then switch back and this is really annoying because they are soooo concerned about their score that they all have to be on the winning team because they dont want to have less than or around a 1:1 ratio. Most of the time the great script that Alex wrote that gives cash and health to the losing team after they lose 3 or 5 rounds in a row respectively helps but there have been many a times where not even this has helped and that is when it really gets annoying.
