I know I was the one who proposed shrinking down to 30 seconds, but the initial buy time needs to go down. I'm sick of going back window as CT and getting 5 nades in my face all from the same person. One round not too long ago I was literally hit with 4 HEs, and when i died from them I saw that all the damage I took from that round was from 1 person. That's complete bullshit. I'm not proposing a drastic change, but maybe with the new 2:20 clock we can shave 10 seconds off the buy clock to make it an even 2:00 - CTs should be on the move by then (or they're getting slayed), and T's shouldnt have the advantage to spam nades. As it currently is, I wait until 30 seconds passes before I show my face if I go back window, and I know others share my problem. Edited Tue May 29 2007, 09:53PM |

The round time was changed higher in demand because of the increase in the player slots. It was a problem because of the amount of time wasn't great enough for CTs to rescue some hostages. Let an admin know if you are getting spammed by nades by a single person. If no admin is present, come to the site and notify an admin of the nade spammer and me as well as another admin will deal with it. | ||

Okay, i think i may have just worded it wrong. Id like to see this change regardless of the +5 seconds on the clock. I just proposed the 2:00 cutoff to be a nice, clean number but really that isnt a big issue. I guess i've just seen this problem many times, both with admins present and without. I've never seen an admin warn for this in the past, even when CTs mention it in chat. Personally, I don't even know if there's a rule AGAINST it. I made this thread based on my personal belief that its a cheap tactic in general. |

Also, when people die, you pick up their nades. You never know which is happening unless u watch them directly and shit. | ||

It's a worthy proposition. I'm not so sure about shaving a third off the timer but five seconds less may be worth a shot. Let's see how the +5 second round time shakes out first, and we can look at this idea soon. Thanks again for the initial suggestion, Holler, as well as this one, and I appreciate your continued interest in making FTC better!  EDIT: Someone told me that I made a grammatical mistake in my post and laughed at me. Oh noes!!!

There is a lot of nade spamming drunk, and its at the start of rounds. One FT'er (I won't say his name) throws a nade at the start of every round, then rebuys it, and throws it later in the round, yet always claims that someone died and he picked theirs up (while he rarely moves). | ||

But in the first 30 seconds, few people are dying. At least not enough to cause the picking up. Also when they all get rocked from someone in the L-doorway for instance... I dunno. Its not the biggest deal, I'm just trying to fine tune it. Like I said, I'm in the habit now where unless im rushing i dont leave garage until Buy time is up. And magically the number of nades being thrown at back window goes down (if it is a problem at the time in the first place). Just a suggestion =P |

Mr I know who you are talking about exactlly. I thought he stopped but i guess not. I actually know 2 ft'ers that do that alot but i haven't been on in a while to see if they have stopped or keep on doing it.

Yup I notice that too, sometimez it even happens to me I think someone should spec for like 6 rounds And see who it really iz becuz everytime I run out near front window i alwayz lose like 25 hp or more. And it'z really starting to get old. Thankz. »Tяїсҝsŧa.4« |
