before proposal or something how about a discussion? Admin skins for .. admins... Pro: Players can easily identify if there is an admin in the server Con: Players will know when they can be a douche without being caught Pro: Players will avoid TKing blocking etc Con: Some assholes might do it purposely Any thoughts on if it's a good idea for Admin player skins? |

Well just FYI, id be much more likely to shoot someone with an admin skin, if i saw 2 T's in a room. So if I was an admin I wouldnt want to point myself out like that. That being said, I dont really see why this is necessary at all, but if you want it to be a "perk" for admins then feel free. I don't think it will alter behavior if that's what you're going for though. |

Ive seen skins that had only an image on their back shirt ? Maybe don't do it as something really outrageous of a skin, and there wouldn't be too much trouble. -A | ||

This will not be easy after changes in the next Steam update. I enjoyed it when we had them before but some first-time players on FTC don't stick around for the downloads to finish. | ||

But their is a downfall to the admin skins, like i told goose, what if a admin wants to come in the room and just see what is going on under a differnet name, then everyone will know their is a admin there and will striaghten up. I told this to goose b/c we were on the test server and he was talking to me about putting sounds on when an admin joins. | ||

Yeah, but if they 'striaghten up' then problem solved, right? And I am not talking about eight different admin skins (four per team) just a default Phoenix Connection that has a different type of torso armour and on the back says 'Admin'. If you want to rejoin to spec a hacker as a diff name then they can't see your shirt. And if they don't use hacks or team attack cause they see the shirt then it's doing half your work for you, is it not? Motherfucker, I forgot to say and a admin 'Navy Seal' skin for the CT side. Two player skins can't possibly make newcomers want to quit...And if they do quit then we don't want them! Edited Sun Jun 10 2007, 07:29PM |
