Ok my two cents on this entire issue. First off I gotta agree there has been quite a history between these two. Anywho...so if this is true then that's not a good thing or good way to keep people coming back. Finally onto a less Jesus vs Zadkiel part of this thread I have to say even though he has been a good admin most of the time I have seen things that have irked me. Such as earlier tonight I was playing on CT with Steel and we were going into storage and he killed two guys while I was behind him and then he trys running out and flips out somewhat on me because I was blocking him and basically implying that my life was worth less than his and it was better for me to die than for him to die and that was not something that I appreciated and I let him know that. Stuff like that I have seen has been irksome to me like I have said and I guess I am not one who should really judge since I was only a level 1 admin etc etc but things like that aren't appreciated by other players and will make many people not want to come back. la-di-da So, how was your day? Oh, not too bad, made some bans, and protected myself from two instances of "admin abuse" Jesus, I did not in any way use ANY admin power against you tonight. In storage, I said on the mic "back back back back back" Exactly 5 times, and I was NOT yelling. then you said something on the mic to me and I replied with "Then dont block". This is when YOU sparked the argument with me. I simply defended myself. In fact, I had the whole thing on demo! OH NO!!! It's a little trick I have learned over the past few weeks. Recording your games can go sooooooooooo far.. It helps you soooo much, and it satisfies me incredibly to know that I did NOTHING wrong with you tonight. If you want the demo just ask over xfire and you can see what YOU did wrong tonight. Anybody else who wants to see what happened between the two of us xfire me for the demo. It is a 16mb file, and the argument didn't happen until 10 mins in, but that is because I had the demo rolling from the time I entered the server because shit like this keeps flying at me. |

Hmmm, I've known Jesus for a while and I know that he is a responsible admin. That being said, he IS an admin, and therefore can do whatever he wants. Sounds to me like you were just trying to be an ass and point out his supposed "hypocritical" actions with all those "Oh, you tell us to do it but you don't" types of sayings. In the end, Jesus is an admin, and he can do what he wants! Sorry, but that's just reality. |

I didn't say when you said back back back etc etc w/e on mic at first that you were yelling what I said was that after you said don't block me and I told you that I was trying to go in and you were blocking me and got me killed you basically said that your life was worth more than mine which is a crock so yea once again read what I said before spewing shit out. We argued back and forth you keeping on repeating all I said was back back back etc etc w/e and that I was "blocking you" even though somehow since we were rushing in and I was trying to go forward and I was behind you I don't see that and I told you that and I also told you that I didn't appreciate what you had said about your life being worth more than mine and basically having this better you dead than me attitude. So yea remember children READING is an important part of your schooling because it is something you will NEED later on in life. Edit: For my man Czech I love you dawg but you are wrong there are rules in place for admins to both enforce and to follow so admin can't do whatever they want even though you seem to think they can. First of all, let me say that paragraphs are crucial. My eyes glaze over while reading many of these posts as I try to decipher so many separate thoughts crammed into one giant post!  Anyways... there are many distinct issues raised in these posts but I want to stick to the original context of Zadkiel reporting his perception of admin abuse based on Steel's actions. I'm a bit disappointed that "the real Jesus" decided to lump a separate incident into this thread and draw attention from the matter at hand. No need to get into that issue because, as usual, Steel covers the bases and is able to justify his actions. Zad's critique of Steel's hostage vs. eliminating CT's argument has some merit but Steel's explanation of the situation is acceptable. I think this is were the battle lines were drawn and Zad got in over his head. What many people apparently fail to notice is that Zad is the aggressor in this situation. Steel was a bit hawkish in his retaliation but he didn't create the situation, Zad did. Argumentative players such as Zadkiel can easily be muted and the problem is often solved. I sometimes fail to increment punishment by warning/muting these types of players many times, and set a terrible example for which I apologize, but it is still important to realize that this type of situation can be avoided with a mute (hey, it's possible!) Steel can explain and justify his actions and I see no need to punish him beyond suggesting that he use more subtle methods of enforcing server policy. Many of us realize the constant beef between Zad and Steel. Zadkiel has tried to piss rainbows since he got back from vacation. He wants to be friends with everyone. He wants to play this thread as him being the great communicator and show how gracious he is by offering to "bury the hatchet" and all that garbage... What he doesn't want anyone to know is what an obnoxious player he really is. He wants everyone to think that he caught Steel being reckless and is willing to be the gracious victor and call it a draw. That's impressive but only to a certain extent. Unfortunately for you, Zad, Steel is meticulous in recording demo's.  Here's one of you from two months ago: -[link]- So with that in mind, what kind of asset are you to FTC? You've got plenty of hours on FTC but what kind of hours on FTC? Time spent rambling racist garbage and harassing other players? There are plenty of log entries, screenshots, and demo's of you engaging in the same type of behavior. There is much more that can be shared about your asshattery on FTC. A little secret between you, me, and the rest of the forum reading population: your neck has been on the chopping block for this bullshit for quite some time. I don't think I'm too far from the mark in guessing that this type of behavior gives Steel, or any other admin, a legitimate predisposition to wanting to slay, kick, or ban you. Your actions determine your reputation and you only have yourself to blame for that. Please consider this carefully before you respond. |

Well, there is not much I can add the the above post, except to further emphasize to Zad that 'you reap what you sow'. Zad, your reputation preceeds you and, in your case, that's a problem for you. Believe me, if most of the admins/regulars had their way, you would have been perma-banned a long time ago. As it is, we still have to deal with you. The way we deal with you is based on your previous behavior. So, please, don't go crying those crocodile tears here. You created this situation, the admins have to deal with it. Having said that, Zad, I am all for people turning over a new leaf. Perhaps that is what you are genuinely doing. That IMPLIES (Oh look, your favourite word!) that my admin decisions tonight towards you have "irked" you. I did NOT use admin against you, so how is this possible? And the fact that I have everything on demo and I can easily say that you brought up the situation a round after it was over, and you were a gigantic dick about it too.
