Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

An admin changing cash, health, and flat-out killing anyone for a teamswap is perfectly legitimate on FTC if the intent is to balance teams. It's clearly stated in the adverts and MOTD. If you're going to complain about "admin abuse" then make sure you read the MOTD and pay attention to the adverts -- regardless of how much you play on FTC. If you can't pay attention to simple rules then kindly fuck off. Edited Thu Jun 08 2006, 06:15AM |

thanks for clearing that up for some people, we also need to aid something about a no racism advert because some people (excuse me for using the word) keep saying nigga or other versions of the word. People think its just slang and it means nothing making it ok. Well its not ok because some people do get offened by it and when ever i tell them to stop they procede to bitching at me because its "slang". ty Edited Thu Jun 08 2006, 08:01PM |

Ya, perhaps adding a "No Rasicm" advert would be easier than typing it in green speak everytime someone drops an N-Bomb, (or a slang variation) or any other comment that is racially motivated. But having the advert may also 'remind' a player of using racial comments and may encourage more rule-breaking. When a noob sees "No Raciscm", he might try to see how much he can get away with, or flat out drop bombs in direct defiance, just for kicks. Its kinda like going on a Christian server and debating the validity of the DaVinci Code. (Its kinda fun, but they don't take that shit and end up booting you.) Oooooh. I was just wondering. I noticed on Surf, their adverts attemped to be placed in coloUr, but all you see is "(BLUE) Read MOTD before claiming Admin Abuse" LITERALLY! Its not in blue text, it just has the word blue in brackets, before the adverts. I think that if we had coloUred adverts, they would show up more clearly, amidst the jungle of typing, and rules could be distinguished from the general typing. But its just a thought. |

Then i yell at them to drop it and not say it. i get know where fast. also using the word sets off a chain reaction. once one person says it more start using it. |

Yeah i agree with you guys, and no racism advert would be very useful, ive dealth many dickheads who want to use the N word and for some reason they ask why they cant use it? like seriously are these guys educated at all? I dont put up with it, i wont lie but on FTC2 there was a point where a lot guys used to say it, and never bothered anyone, but throughout the time i started playing more it got completetly out of hand, a lot of guys actually started going on with "nigger" and then turning it into a slang "nigga" thinking its more appropriate, but i dont put up with it all, i give one warning, dont want to listen, then you'll be banned straight up.

I don't see a problem with some1 saying "Whats up my nigga" or something along those lines one in a while. What I feel racism to be is when you mean it in a bad way exaple 'I hate n****s" that would be wrong/offensive. I see how ever your point as it is becoming a problem along FTC/Surf. I believe the punishment should be muting, and if they change their name and continue to be racist just kick. P.S. I'll be able to play next tuesday, my Finals will be done then and I'll have some time before starting to look for a job. |

I don't see why anyone thinks banning after a single warning is reasonable since it goes against the punishment procedure. Besides, muting is just as easy as banning and most people straighten up after they've been muted for a few minutes.

if i didnt make my self clear enough i dont usually ban on the first warning. i ban when it gets out of hand when like 2 more people join in and after i have kicked/slayed/gimped the starter. i dont nessecarily think people should be banned because the nproblem can be easily fixed its just i had to make an example because i didnt want them to think that they could get away with not obeying a simple request by an admin. I find the mute feature quite useful in these situations.
