We will be doing away with the L1/2/3/Op admin structure soon. In its place will be two classes: admins and ops. The idea is to flatten out the privileges and avoid the often meaningless, linear progression of L1, to L2 and L2 to L3. Some privileges will be restricted to Ops only, but most privs will be open to all admins, including permanent banning. I realize there is potential for abuse but I am prepared to audit logs daily (I already do anyways) and I will be looking for indications of why permanent bans are being issued. I'll post the exact list of privileges later. |

Sounds like a good idea in concept. The only reason we had lev 103 was because its always been like that. Im interested in seeing what this change will do. I can already see pros and cons. Im installing Counter Strike again tonight to come back, hopefully Ill still have admin somewhere  Love to see the list of privs, Ill be checking site more now, phasing into CSS again. |

I think this will streamline the admins some. If nothing else, this should end some of the confusion. |

it would be fun if night had ma_explode. he would explode under me, and i would die, and then the wall will catch fire, then the whole office will go up into a towering inferno, and all the terrorists would be inside while the ct's are outside laughing it up. i take it that in the case you believe someone would not be good with a certain power, you wouldnt give it to them? in that case it is a good idea IMO. |

I was going to request a userclass forum for admins, to note perma bans so it saves stress on your part. Nonetheless, doing this would also take matters that shouldn't be open to the public privately. | ||

I like the idea Alex. Although, I enjoyed the structure a little bit because it gave you something to work for to try and move up admin levels. But, I agree that that just having an Op level and an Admin level will simplify everything.

I went ahead and changed the admin privs/groups around this morning.
