So this is just a suggestion not a vote, I know that changes to the server are made by the OP's. Now, Surf has a level 0 given to ever new member and non admin i believe. This allows for the clan as a whole not just admins to communicate in game on the server with out other players seeing it.The people with "lvl 0" are given admin only chat abilities, nothing else. I was just thinking that FTC might want to do something like that. Then ppl dont have to go out of game and get on xfire or anything the say "Hey watch this dude, he looks kinda suspicious" in private. Its just a (Team)@ "klsghnajkfb" away... I was talking to goose about it a while back and he seemed to like it. I just thought i would throw this out to hear what the rest of you think.And for the OPs to possibly discuss it. |

I don't know how admin levels work as far as levels, but I wonder what you guys (i.e. Alex) think about being more liberal with basic/lower admin power. Being a new FT member, i've noticed that I am constantly called out because of my tag to do something about TKers, campers, and the like. I just end up going to xfire, and that has been successful once. Like I said i'm not sure what power a level 1 admin has versus a level 2 and whatnot, but more FTers with the ability to slay/kick/move people would be nice to see, in my opinion. | ||

I talked to a few people about that, and concluded that it'd be a huge pain in the ass to add a new sub class and find the hundreds of members to add to it. | ||

The whole admin powers is like getting into FT, you have to wait until someone feels you are qualified. This was discussed earlier and it was decided that simply going to Xfire and finding an admin wouldnt be much of a difficulty. Like you said, most of the time by the time the Admin gets on, the nuisance has already left the server, and wrought havoc throughout it so we are just like "They did all that now fuck, we dont even have their steam IDZORS!?!??" but yeah, Higher Admins/OPs decide on if a certain FT member is qualified to work as an admin, and if they are on at a specific time in the day when no other admins are on. Almost like being a security guard, but not on Constant-Watch. Like shifts if you will As for the Admin Chat only, I like the idea of it, but like ninca said, adding the class and then going through the lists of rosters we have, we be kindof, long and hard, and the payoff wouldnt be too much. As a regular, anyone can type "@ hey admins, this guy looks suspicious, spec him for me?" as I have done MANY fucking times. and although you cant see what they say back in Admin chat, at least they know what is going on. For most of us, it would just be easier to wait and try and be an admin, then add all of this and make it even harder for some, and only easier for a small minority. In fact, I dont really see this helping anyone since there are other ways of communication. Other then speed of communication, that is the only benefit of this. IMO, as you know  feel free to rip me to shreads with your ideas.

Well, if you want to just private chat other people thare are not an admin and are in game, most people use xfire b/c most people always have it on. Also, if you want to talk to an admin privately you can just do "@ message" and they can send u back a message just to you. | ||

Please look back into this thread -[link]- where Alex announced in the beginning of August that Admin privileges had changed. There is no longer any levels. You are either an Admin or an Op status. No levels within that. Many members have "complained" about there not being admin presence on FTC. It is understood that when you come to an FT server, many new players will expect any FT member to be able to take admin action. This is not the case. Alex spends a lot of time speaking with his Ops team deciding who is mature enough to handle admin and who is on the server to assist with Admin operation. Many new members of FT and now 9 to 5 are looking to contribute and help out the server. If you feel that you can contribute to the server, then take the time to xfire or PM Alex directly and advise him of your feelings and willingness to be an Admin. As of now, if you are on the server with someone acting up and violating the rules, grab their Steam ID and look for an admin on xfire. If one isn't available, post the Steam ID with a description of the rule violation or otherwise annoying behavior in a thread on the forums. Alex is excellent with handling issues that are posted quickly. In regards to 9 to 5 members also being eligible for Admin on FTC. I believe that Alex can answer this best since it's his server but I have a feeling that 9 to 5 members are in fact eligible wihtout being an FT member since they are specific to FTC. But they will fall under the same selection guidelines as would an FT member. |

I think it'd be a good idea, but as said by someone, there is a TON of members to track down IDs and shtuff, i dont think it's THAT hard, but then again I haven't tried...
